Name: Tim O'Mahony
Location: Normandy Park, WA
Quote: "Down in vintageville with the Riff Raff."
Random Fact: "Two-Twenty" is Seattle Police/Fire radio code for a crazy person.
Bio: A Seattle native, I have been employed with the Seattle Fire Department for over 22 years as an EMT/FireFighter, and have been the driver on Engine Co. 29 in West Seattle for 16 years. Previously, I worked as a mechanic in the motorcycle industry, and was lucky enough to get to serve my apprenticeship under several great tuners, including Pierre DesRoches and Byron Hines. I served as a substitute for the late Claud Jinks as Chief Technical Inspector for WMRRA for the 2010 and 2011 seasons. Currently I am serving as your WMRRA President and WMRRA Medical Liaison.
I started road racing in 1982 with ARRA in Southern California at Willow Springs Raceway. After moving back to Seattle in 1987, I began racing with WMRRA. I also raced dirt track and enduros throughout the late 80's. In 1990, I stopped motorcycle racing after being hired by the SFD. I couldn't stay away, though, and at the urging of fellow 160 racer Mark Etheridge, I returned to WMRRA in 2008 to race the 160 Vintage class. I am back for good, now, and I plan on racing as long as I can still climb on a bike!
