FAQ's:

When can I sign up for the next race season?
The membership application period starts each year around the beginning of December and typically coincides with the International Motorcycle show. As soon as membership/license forms are made available online, they can be submitted. Those who submit their membership/license applications by February 15th will receive a membership/license packet in the mail shortly after.

How can I get a new number or 2-digit number?
As soon as membership forms are available we will take new number requests on a first come first serve basis with the completed membership application. There is a space on the membership/license form to request by specific number or by general description, i.e. "lowest 2 digit number".

How do I find out what numbers are available?
All racers have until the February 15th deadline to retain their number from the previous year. Available numbers will not be known until after that deadline. You can take a look at the current racer list on the website and see what numbers were not assigned or take a guess on what numbers you might think become available.

When can I sign up to race?
Traditionally membership/license packets are sent out the first couple weeks of March and a race event registration form will be included in that packet. Within a couple days of license packet mailings, race registration forms will be posted online. As soon as race registration forms are made available, they can be submitted via email, fax, or postal mail.

What classes can I run my bike in?
Please read that rulebook that's available online to determine what classes your bike is eligible to race in. You may also email the race referee for any needed clarification. [took the sentence out] Although the registrar does have a general idea of what bikes usually race in what class it is up to the racer to know the rules and what class his or her bike is eligible for.

I want to race… how do I sign up?
You can use the online registration form, OR you can download the registration form from the registration page, print it, fill it out, and email as a PDF to registration@wmrra.com, or fax or postal mail it in.

I have a race license with WMRC, OMRRA (etc)… do I have to join WMRRA to race?
No, WMRRA has reciprocity with several clubs. You will need to show your current club's license at the WMRRA race event to be able to pick up your paperwork and race with WMRRA.

If I am number 15 with WSMC, OMRRA (etc), can I run my number 15 with WMRRA?
We will try our best to assign you whichever number you request. However, your preferred number may not be available for the event you race with WMRRA. In that event, you will be assigned whatever number is available for the weekend. We will try to make your number difference as easy as possible, ie. assigning you the number 151 or 115.

Where's my refund?
The Treasurer (NOT the registrar) handles all refunds and their contact info is on the Contact Info page. The refund form is available for download from the Documents & Forms page. Read the instructions -- any forms not filled out correctly or without an attached rider receipt will not be processed.

Why can't I pre-pay online?
Because WMRRA doesn't charge your credit card until after the race weekend, and the online registration process doesn't have appropriate security to hold credit card numbers between the time you register and the time your card would be charged. If you would like to pre-pay you will need to fax, email, or postal mail a form with your credit card information on it.

Do I have to pre-pay to pre-enter?
No, but pre-payment makes it easier on race day, since your paperwork will be ready for you at the Tech Inspection station, meaning you won't have to wait in a long registration line before heading to get your bike and gear checked. Any racer that pre-pays will be able to head straight to Tech Inspection, where they will pick up their race registration receipt at the same time that they get teched.

I picked up my paperwork on race day but never made it out onto the track… can I get a refund?
Yes, you can fill out and submit a refund form with your rider's race receipt and you can receive your race entry back, minus the $50 registration fee and the $10 Medic One fee.

I didn't race but I pre-paid, how do I get a refund?
If you never showed up and therefore did not pick up your paperwork you will be marked as a 'no-show' in our system, and will not be charged.

Why can't I just use my refund as a credit?
Right now the WMRRA database is not set up to handle credits and every race event must be treated separately.

How can I find out if you received my race registration?
Race registration entry usually happens about a week before each event. You will receive an email confirmation a couple of days before the event. If you wait until the exact deadline or afterward to enter into the event, it is likely that you may not receive a confirmation email at all. Please register early! Even if you do not know for sure that you will be attending the race event, you can still pre-register and even pre-pay, because if you don't pick up your rider's race receipt at the track during the event, YOU WILL NOT BE CHARGED!

How can I find out if you received my membership application?
As long as you include your email address on your membership/license application form, you will receive an email confirmation from the registrar by March 1st.

Can I pick my Novice race number?
Novices may request their preferred, novices will be assigned a 900 number as entries are received.

Can I choose my number once I graduate from the Novice class?
Once you complete your Novice graduation requirements you will be assigned an 800 number, and at that point you will be able to request your preferred number.

How long do I have to use an 800 number?
For 3 race rounds, or until the end of the season, whichever comes first.

Can I choose my number after I complete my time as a Graduated Novice?
After you complete your requirements as a Graduated Novice you will then be considered an Expert and will be able request an Expert number (6-699).
