F.A.Q

Below you will find some frequently asked questions we receive. If you did not find the answer you were looking for anywhere on this page, please don't hesitate to contact the WMRRA Novice Representative, Nico Tomacelli

  • Q. I've done a bunch of track days. I'm familiar with the track; do I have to attend the classroom session of the NRS?
  • A. Yes. Regardless of the # of track days you have done this is not a track day. This is about racing and you will learn the rules and procedures for WMRRA race days so that you can safely operate your bike on the track with other racers.

  • Q. I've attended an "NRS" from a track day organization that is not on the list of WMRRA approved track day organizations. Can I still use it?
  • A. You can submit in writing to the novice rep for an exemption. This will be handled on a case by case basis.

  • Q. I've attended the Sullivan Race School or 2-Fast Proformance in years previous to 2010. Can I still use that instead?
  • A. Onlyif it was the specific NRS track class and ONLY if it was completed in 2009 or 2010.

  • Q. I've attended the Freddie Spencer Race School. Can I use that in place of the on-track segment of the NRS?
  • A. If you have attended a school like California Superbike School, Freddie Spencer, STAR, or any other similar schools you can submit in writing to the novice rep for an exemption. This will be handled on a case by case basis. Even if approved, you will still be required to attend the classroom session of the NRS so that you can learn the rules and procedures for WMRRA.

  • Q. I'm a track day organization interesting in providing on-track segment of the NRS to customers. What do I need to do?
  • A. Contact the novice rep for more information on becoming a WMRRA approved track day organization for the on-track NRS segment.
