Executive Board Meeting Minutes April 13th, 2011 Secretary- Erin Gua - Next E-Board meeting will be May 11th at 7:00pm at Round Table in Issaquah. - Next General Membership Meeting will be Wednesday, June 22, 2011 at 7:30pm at Round Table in Redmond. Room is reserved at 7:00 pm in order for attendees to come eat dinner beforehand. Nico Tomacelli will keep the increased frequency of general membership meetings as long as we keep having regularly increasing attendance. Treasurer- Marcea Kato - Bank balances reported. - Ambulance costs, food costs, and track rental cost are only estimates right now. - We made money on track day! But we lost money on race weekend! - We still have outstanding balance on airfence rental from track day companies. Taste of Racing (TOR)-Donny Schultz - Trying not to overuse existing volunteers/cornerworkers. - Turns 2,3,5,8 are the staffed corners - See wmrra.com for requirements on TOR - Allister Mackinnon (Board of Directors) suggests that we have our own staff to cornerwork 1st VP- Tim Weig - The next E-Newsletter will be sent out in May. Contact Tim Weig or your rider rep if you are not receiving them. - We still have t-shirts available for anyone that would like to purchase them. They are $15.00 each. Contact Tim Weig. - Tim will be looking for a charity coordinator(s) for 2011. - Contact your rider rep to ask for some brochures and schedule cards to hand out to everyone you know! Let’s get some more spectators out to our events! - Eric Featherstone and Tim will get together to work on raceday programs from now on. 2nd VP- Jeff Wieand - Timing with horns and releasing bikes is being worked on. - Group numbers for practices will be changed to be consecutive. - We will try to do superteams for the June and Sept rounds. Jeff will start working on the schedule. - Discussion on ninja 250 class having their own practice group. - Races will be numbered on the programs from Round 2 onward. 3rd VP- Katie Field - AmB fixed the bugs in the software so grids should be working properly for Round 2. - Double-check your overall points on wmrra.com! We are using new software and we need to make sure it’s working properly. President- Nico Tomacelli - Proposed cancelling first round at Spokane: track’s current status: pavement hasn’t been laid, and additional financial status of club is to be considered. Proposed offering a discount (their second race per round, every round -except scr rounds) to Eastern Washington novices who didn’t race Round 1. All in favor for cancelling first SCR round: all. All opposed: none. - Stats: 87.69% of riders live in Western WA, 3.85% Idaho, 0.38% Montana, 0.38% Alberta, 7.69% Eastern WA - Discussing reducing more costs on racedays Airfence Committee- Russ Wieand - Not present. Jeff reporting for him. - Russ did inventory of airfence: 24 cubes that need to be repaired. 1 is totally destroyed. Number of straps are not known. Novice Rep- Mark DeGross - Mentors have been assigned to every novice, novices have gotten instructions from mentors. - A date for the second NRS will be chosen and announced soon. Supersport Rep- Eric Featherstone - Discussion of problem riders occurred. Superbike Rep- Damon Wells - A rider contacted Damon about the information we require on medical forms and the fact that WMRRA requires forms to be in the rider’s leathers. - The tone of the riders’ meetings was discussed. Vintage Rep- Duncan Craick - Duncan and vintage riders will be attending the Ballard Bike Show. Come out and support! - South Sound VME will be asked to do a concourse at the SOTP WMRRA round. Good of WMRRA - Mark DeGross & Tim Weig went to Ridge Motorsports Park meeting. Commissioner gives decision next week. - We will possibly have a Ninja 250 superteams race. RULES COMMITTEE MEETING CONVENED - Proposed changing money classes to trophy classes, and change their entry fee accordingly, from Round 2 onward.
