General Membership Meeting Minutes November 18, 2009 Secretary- Monica Wallace - Rules committee was held Sunday, November 15th. Minutes will be submitted to the committee for approval November 19th. Treasurer- Joan Inge - Not present. - Mike Tobin reported bank balance. 1st VP- Mike Tobin - Monica coordinating details of the International Motorcycle Show. Tobin will be there to help when needed. Booth and electricity paid for. Any questions for show directed to Monica. - Location of booth will probably be in the same location as last year. Mike is trying to negotiate a location up front. - Grant, the printer used last year, is not going to be doing the WMRRA collateral for IMS. Mike MacConaghy will give Mike Tobin a name of a racer that does printing. - WMRRA will be attending the Spokane Motorcycle Show. The club will be sharing the booth with Inland Speed. Jason Talley cannot head the booth but gave Tobin the name of another racer that could help out. Other volunteers are appreciated. - Race sponsorship – Working on getting all 23 classes sponsored. Here has been interest from existing sponsors and new sponsors. - Newsletter – going out to membership between Thanksgiving and December 12th. 2nd VP- Jeff Wieand - Not present - No report 3rd VP- Katie Field - Meeting with Russ to coordinate merchandise for IMS. - Votes last Eboard that membership rates will be raised - 2010 Expert membership and race license fees shall be $100. - 2010 Novice Race License and Membership shall be $80 with classroom fees remaining at $50. - 2010 membership without race license shall be $50, Weekend Race License shall be $30, and Out of State Number Reserve shall be $30. – - Have not determined class entry fees. President- Nico Tomacelli - Not Present - Tobin – Focusing on IMS and track rental negotiations on Pacific and Spokane. Bucky Austin no longer managing the track but still working on getting the track. Airfence Committee- Nico Tomacelli - Not present. - No report. Novice Rep- Jake Frame - Not present - Mike Tobin – Working on coordinating Novice classroom session to be held at Renton RMC. Supersport Rep- Ross Delong -Not present -No report Superbike Rep- Mike MacConaghy - Only received input from one person for the rule change proposals. Vintage Rep- Duncan Craick - Not present - Tobin – National AHRMA race being held at Portland International Raceway the first weekend of May. - Discussion on piggybacking on AHRMA in Portland with additional marketing to get the racers to come to Washington the following weekend. Good of WMRRA - Tom Marx – Discussion on endurance fees and schedule. Tobin announced that endurance will only be run in Spokane. As soon as WMRRA obtains dates, plans for endurance can commence. Talked about standardizing fees and cooperating with OMRRA - Bruce Bille – One of the founding fathers and first President of WMRRA, attended meeting. Suggested Executive Director as a possibility for management of WMRRA. - Tom Marx – Follow up on whether personal records have been destroyed Mike Tobin stated that personal records are locked up and he will get details on destroying the documents.
