Executive Board Meeting Minutes January 14, 2009 Secretary- Debbie Hallanger -Membership Meeting on January 28th at Angelo's in Bellevue. Meeting starts at 7:30pm. -Proposal to allow Peter Lentz to be granted an expert license in 125gp and 250gp. Proposal passes, with one abstain. Treasurer- Joan Inge -Bank balances reported. -1099s for 2008 will be out in the mail on Monday. If you earned over $600 you will receive a 1099. -Louie Cohn received WMRRA tax documents he requested. -2009 expenses should be approved through a budget and with the budget holders consent. -Mary Carr will be helping with treasury processing outside the race weekend. 1st VP- Mike Tobin -IMS went well, we had a good turnout. All the volunteers were great. -Class sponsorship for 2009 will be in place again for most if not all classes. -A paper newsletter will be available at the first race weekend. -The first E-newsletter was sent out to the membership on 12-17-08. This is another form of communication for WMRRA business. A timeline will be built for officers and race day staff to submit letters to publish to the membership through the E-newsletter. -Spokane Motorcycle show is Feb 20, 21, 22. Jason Talley will be the organizer from Spokane. -Michelle Crabtree will be creating the race day programs again. -Assessing apparel purchases for next year. 2nd VP- Bill Hallanger -Budget submitted 3rd VP- Katie Field -David Slay will be getting his trophy for first place in Formula Thunder for the 2008 season. -Problem with post office box is corrected, if your membership registration was returned, you should mail it again, or fax it, along with the original post date for proof of original submission date. President- Allister MacKinnon -SCMP has had our requested dates for several months May 23-24 and July 18-19, president is working on pinning them down and getting signed track use agreements ASAP. During the last phone conversation with SCMP managment, SCMP modified the race dates to May 23-24 and July 11-12 2009. -We are making the switch to AMB. The group buy is good until March 1st for 10 or more purchases. Check the WMRRA forum for information. -Sidecars association are requesting two dates, can we accommodate them? -Tentative endurance race Monday, Memorial Day in Spokane. Airfence Committee- Nico Tomacelli -Inventory of the air fence will be conducted this weekend. Novice Rep- Nico Tomacelli -First classroom NRS will be March 8th at RMC. Check with 2Fast and Sullivan Race School for the on-track NRS. Supersport Rep- Ross Delong -Expect more visual and full tear downs next year.
