These will be processed within 3 weeks from today. 1st VP- Mike Tobin -KISW balance was paid from the SOTP weekend coverage. -We are locked into our IMS booth, but location is yet to be determined. Staffing for the weekend will be needed so contact Mike if you are interested. -He would like to have a newsletter once again. Mike has some interest in people who are willing to write articles, but more are needed. -Working on some race day lunch time promotions. Maybe some two-up rides or SuperMoto mini race. Suggestions are welcome. -Suggestion made to use the paddock during the endurance race for an exhibition event. -Discussion on whether the newsletter will be monthly or quarterly. Will it be mailed out or online? These items are not decided yet and suggestions are welcome. 2nd VP- Bill Hallanger -Rule changes are being accepted at 2ndvp@wmrra.com or through the online submission for on the WMRRA website. Read your rulebooks for submittal instructions. -Read your rulebooks before the endurance race to familiarize yourself with the rules. -What are the rules for a novice to participate in the Endurance race? Your rulebook states in Section B.14.d.VII that a novice MUST petition the Executive Board in writing. Contact your Novice Rep to submit your petitions. 3rd VP- Ariana Burgess -Scoring is final for Round 4. -An issue with overall season points on the website has been corrected. Please check your results and let Ariana know if you see any problems. This latest correction mainly affected the Lightweight Superbike class. -We are requiring that crew members fill out the endurance waiver for the protection of the club. This ensures that all crew members are aware of the dangers of racing. -Question on why the medical form asks for a social security number and other personal information. Can we change the form to say that it is optional? The suggestion also is for the forms not be kept in the trailer. There should be a secure place for these forms. -Suggestion raised that in the past all racer forms have been shredded every 2 years. -Discussion on why the waiver must be filled out every race weekend. Allister answers that we had problems in the past with racers not signing it at the beginning of the year, and we feel this is a sure way of protecting the club. -You can pick up wrist bands for your endurance crew at registration when you turn in your paperwork this weekend. President- Allister MacKinnon -Allister was contacted by a new go-kart club that wants to rent 6-8 sections of our Airfence for their new track. The owner will be sending Allister information on weights and velocity of the go-karts. They are willing to be responsible for any damages incurred. We need to find out more about where the bails will go and what the risks are. The event is this weekend, so a decision will have to be made soon. Airfence Committee -Question posed: Have we charged the race day organization for damaging a bail? We have not charged them for damages and the future Airfence committee will make these decisions for 2009. -Suggestion to set up a PayPal account to let non- members donate to the Airfence fund. We could also suggest to the track days organizations to have a donation box. -Proposal to give NESBA a discount for the Monday track day, since they had to set up some of the Airfence with their own members and lost some track day. The Executive Board members present unanimously voted to give them a $250 credit towards their next Airfence bill. Novice Rep- Nico Tomacelli -No report. -Has there been a punishment assessed to the novice that oiled the track? We have been assured he will not be racing with us in the future. -Suggestion to encourage mentors to look in on their novices throughout the race day and keep in touch with them often. -Reminder from Tech Inspector that novices will be required to go through the tech line next weekend. Supersport Rep- Ross Delong -Not present -No report Superbike Rep- Brad Gua -Not present -No report Vintage Rep- Duncan Craick -Not present -No report Good of WMRRA -Discussion on new rule change that allows 10+ year old riders to race with WMRRA. An addendum to the rulebook will be made available as soon as possible. -Brent Hallstrom with I-90 Motorsports has Spokane rented for Monday September 8th.
