Executive Board Meeting Minutes March 12, 2008 Secretary- Debbie Hallanger -No report Treasurer- Joan Inge -Bank account balances reported. -We are half paid on insurance and track rental for 2008. -We have hired people to cover the gate. -The president will be looking over all race day expenditures throughout the season. -There will be new refund forms available on the website before the season start. -Race refunds will be issued after scoring is posted and within 30 days of the race day. Refunds must include a receipt and will be strictly enforced this season. Receipts will NOT be reprinted by registration for any reason. 1st VP- Mike Tobin -Lynnwood Cycle Barn Daytona days was staffed by Eric Dustin and Debbie & Bill Hallanger. -New vendors are being approached for class sponsorship. This may include both money and products to add to the existing money classes. Some vendors that have signed on so far are; Bell Helmets, Puma Boots, Eastside Motorsports, and Ricci Motorsports. -We will have new schedule cards, posters, and stickers printed. -We need press releases to the major magazines to promote the race weekends and to post results after. 2nd VP- Bill Hallanger -Race day programs will be created by Michelle Crabtree. Any info needed for the programs must be sent to her no later than 10 days prior to an event. -OMRRA conflict dates in June are still under consideration. The only races that need to be moved are superbike classes to swap with Sunday classes. Race Director will attempt to change the contingency dates. A decision will be made prior to the event. -Jeff Wieand has been nominated and accepted as the Race Director -Russ Wieand has been nominated and accepted for Course Marshal -Bobby Hawbaker has been nominated and accepted for Referee. -Phil Cook has been nominated and accepted for Chief Tech Inspector -Race day staff appointments: Russ Wieand - Airfence Coordinator. Bill and Debbie Hallanger - starter team. Liz Chaffen - Corner Captain Chris Loomis - Radio Control 3rd VP- Ariana Burgess -Kelly Dennison is our new Head Scorer. Her daughter will be joining her as well. -Pacific Raceways will let Chris Burgess into the tower during the 2Fast weekend to work on the wireless network for scoring and registration. -The registration and scoring team will get together Feb. 22nd for training. -There will be an awards ceremony at 6:15pm every race Sunday. President- Allister MacKinnon -Rulebook were printed and went out with the member packets. -NRS classroom session at RMC on the 9th went very well. -Race day equipment has been inventoried and checked for functionality. -Medic One has been contacted and the contract is in the mail. -Airfence will be repaired and ready. -Every racer will be paying a pit usage fee of $5 on your registration form. Airfence Committee -2Fast Airfence invoice is ready to hand to them for the first track weekend. Novice Rep- Nico Tomacelli -55 new novices attended the NRS classroom session. The class will be pushed out to 5 hours next time. -NRS track session is next Wednesday, the 19th, with 2Fast. -New mentor stickers will be handed out for those that are authorized to enter the track during novice practices. Supersport Rep- Ross Delong -Racers are still concerned about the June conflict with OMRRA. Refer to 2nd VP report. Vintage Rep- Duncan Craick -An AMA dirt tracker is a new novice on a CB160 and may petition for early graduation. Good of WMRRA -Independent auditors released a report that favors the county acquiring Spokane Raceway Park. The county is scheduled to discuss the options on March 18th. The auction will take place in April. -A new magazine, Sport Magazine Northwest, is sending a reporter out on the first race weekend to write about the races.
