Executive Board Meeting Minutes Feb 13, 2008 Secretary- Debbie Hallanger -No report Treasurer- Joan Inge -Bank balances reported. -Budget submitted. 1st VP- Laura Carpenter -Not present 2nd VP- Bill Hallanger -Michelle Crabtree will create the race day program again. -Endurance race schedule will tentatively be a 4 hour race on Saturday Aug 30th. This may include running one group of practice and 4-5 races first. 3rd VP- Ariana Burgess -New DBComm software has been ordered. -Grids need to be corrected in the database to accommodate the new grid priority to use last years points for the first race. -Wireless network with directional antennas have been ordered, along with a wireless bridge for scoring and the tower. This will allow constant communication at scoring, registration, and the tower. -Angie Westre is going to continue to run the contingency program. -20% of membership requested postal mail communication. -There are 180 confirmed members to date, not including novices. President- Allister MacKinnon -Expect an additional waiver form at registration and tech, as well as the gate. The waiver signature is good for the full event. -Racer's will be reminded at the rider's meeting to include their receipt with a refund request. -Race day staff needs to be nominated. -President, 1st VP, 2nd VP, 3rd VP and treasurer budgets are ratified. Airfence Committee -Airfence rental fees for 2008 will not change. Novice Rep- Nico Tomacelli -42 new novices will attend the March 9th classroom session at RMC. -New classroom curriculum for NRS has been approved. -Jake Frame and Nico Tomacelli will be running the classroom. All staff is welcome to attend and observe. -14 mentors are signed up, but more are needed. Please contact Nico ASAP if you are interested. Supersport Rep- Ross Delong -no report Superbike Rep- Brad Gua -Not present Vintage Rep- Duncan Craick -Duncan visited with Canadian riders recently. They have more 160 riders for next year and are interested in coming down for more races since they only have 2 races at Mission this season. -Sounds of the Past (SOTP) 2008 race dates are: April 27 Mission, B.C. (WMRC) May 4 Pacific Raceway (WMRRA) May 11 Portland International Raceway (OMRRA) Aug 9 Pacific Raceway (WMRRA) Sept 6/7 Miller, Utah (AHRMA) Sept 20/21 Portland International Raceway OMRRA Good of WMRRA -Nico completed a proposal for the board to review outlining a move to AMB hardware. AMB is willing to give us the system for free, with a minimum number of transpondors purchased.
