Membership Meeting Minutes January 23, 2008 Secretary- Debbie Hallanger -No report Treasurer- Joan Inge -Balances reported. -1099s have been mailed out. -Pacific Raceways: 2007 has been paid in full. 50% of 2008 has been pre-paid. 1st VP- Laura Carpenter -Not present -No report 2nd VP- Bill Hallanger -Budget was turned in. -New logos are needed for the rulebook cover, email Bill. -Rulebooks will be completed by end of February. -Endurance race is set for Aug 30, 4-6 hour race is TBD. -Sidecar representative, Tamara, has suggested May 3rd or Oct 4th weekend for the sidecars. May 3rd/4th has been accepted by the board. -Assigned spots in the pits will be roped off for the vendors. Large groups will have the row across from vendors. Registration will be in the same place as last season. 3rd VP- Ariana Burgess -Everyone that has not yet registered will get a registration packet in the mail. Post cards will be included to allow members to give their preferred method of communication. -Scoring team is confirmed. -Signature on waiver will be asked for at both the ticket booth and registration. President- Allister MacKinnon -There will be an official announcements only section on the forum to better communicate with members. -The Executive Board will be asked to submit agendas for 2008. -Rules committee has confirmed that a new rule passed for the R6: 2006 and newer tanks are required to have guards. Airfence Committee -Calendar has been made for all track day organizations that will need Airfence in 2008. -Invoices will be pre-printed for all dates and given to the organizations at each event to reduce billing confusion and aid in timely payment. -34 first generation Airfence Bike covers will have to be replaced throughout the year. Novice Rep- Nico Tomacelli -Vintage novices will run with vintage experts as normal and do not have to attend an NRS track class. -35 new novices in March, possibly 20 more. -NRS curriculum will be sent out to the novice committee for review on Jan 31, and to the Executive Board in February for acceptance. -NRS classroom session is March 9. -Mentors are needed for the 2008 season. Email Nico if you are interested. We will expect a full commitment from the mentors for the whole season. The mentors will be matched up appropriately with a novice. Supersport Rep- Ross Delong -Discussion on June conflicting dates with OMRRA. Superbike Rep- Brad Gua -No report Vintage Rep- Duncan Craick -Not present -Any vintage novices need to contact Duncan. Good of WMRRA -The sidecar organization is requesting our presence at their promotions event at Renton Motocycle Center during the first week of May. -There will be monkey rides available both sidecar race days in May. -Dianne has resigned from the Board of Directors. Bobby has been nominated and appointed to this position for the remainder of her term. -Big thanks to Dianne for all your years of service!
