Membership Meeting Minutes Oct. 10, 2007 Secretary- Debbie Hallanger -No report Treasurer- Joan Inge -No gate numbers available from Round 8 to report. -Checking and savings balances reported, which are still pending on Round 8. -Injured Rider fund balance reported. -There are a few refunds pending from previous rounds. -Tracking the board member expenditures and will report back to help with next year's budgets. 1st VP- Laura Carpenter -Negotiating a deal with a photographer for club pictures. -Publishing articles about race events and riders for advertising. -Talking to other organizations for advice on advertising and are working with them to co-advertise in magazines and online. -Banquet planning under way. It will be at Red Lion in Bellevue, Nov 17th. Prices and menu are TBD. -Airfence advertising is a possibility for next year. The board will review ideas and approach Pacific Raceways. -Thoughts for schedule card contest, similar to OMRRA is a possibility for next year. Details to come. -IMS VOLUNTEERS NEEDED for Nov 30, Dec 1, and Dec 2. 2nd VP- Bill Hallanger -Rules committee will be closed. -100% return on race day staff for 2008. -Rules Committee Meeting is set for Nov 10 at Allister's. Will include existing Executive Board, Referee, Race Director, and Past President. -The Board wants to acknowledge a fantastic job of race day staff. 3rd VP- Ariana Burgess -Looking at new software for the website such as online registration. Obtaining quotes and will present to Board. -Wireless race day hardware will be looked at again over the winter to make real time dBcom data available to tower and registration. -New software version from dBcom will be reviewed over the winter. -The potential new scoring team was not able to attend Round 8, but is still in touch and interested. -Registration is still looking for more help on race day, specifically in the mornings. -The scoring database had some problems over the season. We are redoing the entire season this week. Some points and positions may change. Results will be announced as soon as possible. Some season championship points and positions may change as well. -Brent and Jackie will continue to be available for training and race day fill in. President- Allister MacKinnon -Class structure changes are possible for next year such as: --change the money classes. --combining MW GP Twins and Formula Thunder. -We have a new road course manager, Tracy, at Pacific Raceways. We have worked with him in the past. -Frank at Spokane Raceway Park was contacted and there is no new news. We will have our usual weekends if they are running. -No new information from Novice Committee which consists of Jake Frame, Phil Cook, NicoTomacelli, Allister MacKinnon, and Jeff Wieand. -We have our similar dates at Pacific Raceways for next year, and we have asked for a couple more dates from them in case Spokane is not available. -The exception to the 2008 schedule is the June Pacific weekend, which was moved to the third weekend of the month. -Pacific track rental will be increased next year. No numbers are available. -Increases in membership fees have been tabled for next month. Novice Rep- Nico Tomacelli -Voiced concerns from the 3 students for the NRC that were signed up. Supersport Rep- Ross Delong -Congrats to SS class champions. Superbike Rep- Brad Gua -Hearing from riders about changing class structures for 2008. Vintage Rep- Duncan Craick -Not present -No report Good of WMRRA -Toys for Tots was a success. We collected 100 toys and over $300 in cash. The Marines had a lot of fun talking to racers and driving the Hummer around the track. They said this was a great start to their toy drive season and hope to come back next year.
