Membership Meeting Minutes October 24, 2007 Secretary- Debbie Hallanger -December Membership Meeting is cancelled. Treasurer- Joan Inge -Not present -No report 1st VP- Laura Carpenter -The annual awards banquet is November 17th. $30 italian dinner, $10 for drinks only, and a no host bar. -No banquet flyers will be mailed out, you must use online RSVP form. -We have a special rate at Bellevue Red Lion of $99. -IMS has had good turn out for volunteers. -Louis Cohn is coordinating bikes that will be displayed. -A laptop and a TV will be available for videos at the IMS booth. If you have a video to show, drop it off or get it to Laura soon. -Schedule cards and posters are being designed. -Location for the IMS booth is not decided yet, we are still negotiating. -We are looking for new sponsors for trophies, class payouts, air fence advertising, and contingency for the 2008 season. -Working on new ideas for the Race Day programs . 2nd VP- Bill Hallanger -Rules committee will consist of existing Executive Board, past president, race director, and referee. -It will be at Allister's on November 10th. -We will have a 100% return on race day staff. -Working on budget and stocking track equipment for 2008 season. -Jackets for race day staff are being ordered soon. -A new number board is being designed by starters. 3rd VP- Ariana Burgess -Official scoring is done for the 2007 season and will be posted to the website this week. -Congratulations to our 2008 number plates holders: 1. Eli Edwards 2. Mike Sullivan 3. Shawn Becker 4. Darren Murrey 5. Ross DeLong -Still researching website upgrades. -A scoring volunteer is still interested, but we need at least two more to form a full time team. -Registration volunteers will still be needed for next season, mostly to help out in the mornings. -Ideas for discounting pre-registration and pre-payment. Dicussion and decision is tabled for EB. President- Allister MacKinnon -First novice committee meet. No final decisions yet and more meetings are planned. Talking to 2Fast and Sullivan School. We have decided to keep the classroom portion in house, but will contract out the track portion. -Verbal agreement on dates from Pacific raceway for 2008, no contract. Tentative dates are: March 29,30 May 3, 4 June 21, 22 Aug 9,10 Oct 4,5 -SRP has penciled us in for Memorial Day weekend, weekend of July 12/13, and Labor Day weekend. There is no contract or confirmation of operations for 2008. -Air fence fees discussion, continuing from executive board meeting: Fee for hitting the airfence had been assessed in the past. Possibility for mandatory fee at time of registration. Contracts with track day organizations should include extra fees if they hit it. Airfence committee to be conveined to make these kind of decisions.
