Membership Meeting Minutes June 27, 2007 Secretary- Debbie Hallanger -Please be sure to call the appropriate person on the VIP list when looking for answers. -All phone numbers and e-mail addresses have been confirmed so please use them. Treasurer- Joan Inge -Balances were reported for checking, savings, injured rider, and AirFence. -Gates were 443 entries for Saturday and 549 Sunday. -We don't control the workers at the gate at PR and will talk with them about the problems that arose during the weekend. -Spokane wristbands will be sold the same way as the previous Spokane weekend. -Please remember you need your rider's reciept for refunds. We suggest that you make a copy for your records and submit the origional with your paperwork. Please don't ask Registration to reprint your receipt. They will no longer do that. 1st VP- Andre Lister -Not Present Louis Cohen and Laura Carpenter will be at the I-90 Motorsports event this weekend. -Andre will be at Alki Beach with a booth and a couple of bikes on display Sunday, June 30th, at 10:00 a.m. The event is also hosting a food drive. -Charity Coordinators are in contact with Toys for Tots. The date for the event will be anounced soon. 2nd VP- Bill Hallanger -Three second wave starts went well and will continue to be used. -Discussion on the pavement in the bus-stop at PR. Nico has ran the new configuration and made reccomendations such as no cones and the use of rumble strips or curbing to slow bikes going onto the straightaway. -Discussion on problems to address in the new bus-stop such as increased speed, paved run-off and no incentive to brake (i.e. the wall is more dangerous). -The President and Race Director have already discussed marking the outside of the turn with a non-skid paint line if the track will allow. -Chris Denzler mentioned that turn 5's new tirewall is "awesome". We're optimistic that we will see more new tirewalls around the track. -Rule change proposals are being accepted. Rule change proposals must be submitted by October 1st. 3rd VP- Brent Hallstrom -Delays in the posting of laptimes was addressed. -All past medals will be at Registration and were marked by Laura Carpenter for easy pick up. -Discussion on spotty transponders. Check you transponders at Scoring if you have any doubts. They have a better tool than Registration for checking its signal strength. -If you are having issues get your protests in to Scoring as soon as possible. Do not try to submit them to Registration; it's not their department. President- Allister MacKinnon -The club is looking for someone to write press releases for race days and race results. We've already talked to several organizations and they will post the info. -We've confirmed that there will be no drags Saturday in Spokane. We'll have the track as late as needed. There will be additional practices Saturday. -If there is time and staff available we will have practice starts for a fee. Novice Rep- Chris Denzler -Saturday, June 30th, is the second novice classroom session. It will be held at RMC at 9:00 a.m. -3rd classroom session is to be announced and possible NRC would be the last race weekend. AirFence - Chris Denzler -Position is open. If anyone is interested contact Chris. Supersport Rep- Nico Tomacelli -No report Superbike Rep- Jeff Webber -Discussion on the red flag during the Formula Thunder race at PR. The Race Director and President assured the board this will not happen again. Vintage Rep- Duncan Craick -Cafe Veloce is donating $500, and University Honda is also donating $500 to help bring Springsteen to the August SOTP event at PR.
