Ride on my friend. My heart is sad, and appreciate very much knowing you! Our talks at track exit are running through my mind this evening. I know so much about you. How you made me laugh. I wish this was all a bad dream, but know I will wake in the morning to it being not so. God Speed Claud.
That's me at track exit, so you better have your safety wire!!

There are a few things in life that really put things into the proper perspective. The loss of Claud is one of those things. Words will never do justice with how great of a loss it is to have lost him.

    May the twisties never end...RIP.

I remember his matter-of-fact sense of humor more than anything. He always seemed to be able to make a joke about whatever problem he was facing. That, and his stories - every morning he'd have a tale of some famous racer or team that was wardogging it up back when I was barely walking. Hell, even the story behind his CBR's motor, how it didn't have a VIN, just an "MVR" stamp - one of ten motors Honda built specially for Mike Velasco's team back in "the day".

It's funny, Claude and I noviced together, but I looked up to him so much. He always seemed to have the answer.

Did you hear the story about going over the pass on his GS1150, hitting snow and the bike ending up under a burning RV? How about the one with the CBR- "You knew it was time to shift when the tank came up and hit you in the face."

Claud was one of the first members I was introduced to when I became part of the WMRRA family, thank you for sharing your knowledge and for all the great chats. I will never forget you telling me when I started racing not to forget that you were my first fan - those words have never been forgotten nor will they ever be for the rest of my life !! I am so blessed to have met such a great man, you will NEVER be forgotten and my heart goes out to his family, and all the friends who's life's he has touched. RIP Claud

I got the pleasure to spend time with Claud down at T-hill in Feb. It was great hearing about his passion for motorcycles, family and friends. From the stories that he told he lived an amazing life. He was full of knowlage, and great stories. I didnt know him for a long time, but he left a life long impression on me. I have a heavy heart, may he rest in peace.
