Just want to inform you all that don't know about it yet BUT Jason Pridmores Star School (http://www.starmotorcycle.com/index.php)will be at Portland International Raceway on Sept 29th and 30th.

This is a great chance to get some lessons from one of the best race schools in the country. The Star School pretty much speaks for itself as far as a world class school.
This is the first time in several years that Star School has come to the northwest. I personally know a few local racers that have done the school at other tracks and they are still learning from the school that they attended over 2 years ago. This school is for both the fast guys and us slower newer guys.
I know i have a about 4 or so guys heading downso i just wanted to pass on the dates to my other racers mates.

I really hope to see a large group from WMRRA down there.

If you need any other info about the days please send me a PM and i will answer your questions.

See you down there guys and gals.

Why if it was some where other than PIR? You are there to learn riding skills...not a new track.

Maybe if a lot of people signed up for this one at PIR, they could be swayed to come to Pacific next year, too.

Every year I go to his THill school, and I am amazed at how many Canadians come down for those 3 days, even the Seattlites that are there.

I love Jason's approach to teaching. Very good program even if it's at PIR.

I second this...While I didn't get a lot of one-on-one I did like the class room sessions.

SO maybe you should come down to Portland and get some one on one mate....

Last spring when at THill, we were running the track in the reverse direction. Pretty fun by the way. So, Jason was doing some instruction in the afternoon with some of the students and had finished up with a session. I was on my way out to the track for my session. I stopped and asked him if he would like to get on one of his schools SVs and rip around with me. He hemmed and hawed and said he likes riding the 1000. I looked him square in the eyes and said, "Chicken". Game on! He sped off to the gaggle of school bikes and came back straddling a brand new SV. Stock tires, stock suspension. It had no more than 10 miles on it.

He and I battled back and forth around that track. It was a race. I'd pass him into the braking zones and he'd still put it up under me, time and time again until I began to hold him off. He was showing me how much you could push an SV with stock tires. I was on my race bike. It was the best 30 minutes of instruction I have ever received.

He asked me afterwards how THAT was, "I think I just got my ass handed to me." was my response. He laughed and then we broke down what I was doing, where i was strong and where he could get past and was stronger. It was one of those track sessions that I will never forget.

That is so awesome. Great story! I think Jason is one of those genuine people...Lots of competiveness but not much of an ego.

I am REALLY tempted to go down there! Would make Craig happy huh?
