Do you already have a 600? If not, why not purchase the 750?
The 600 is heavily based on the 750 and the weight difference is negligible. So, just starting with one in the first place may be a lot less hassle. Just a thought. There is actually an 04' GSXR 750 motor for sale in the April RoadRacing World magazine built by a NW engine builder already supersported w/ 0 miles for 1500$. You'd be hard pressed to get the work done for that cheap, let alone purchase an engine already suped.

yeah i already have the 600 and i already have it apart, i'm going to replace the bearings, pistons, and have the crack repolished, and since i have it all apart i was just gonna have the block bored cuz i can get it done for $20 a hole here in town, i dont want to go huge but i want a little bit more snap and this seems like a good way to do it and still keeping the bike reliable

Why did you rip the motor apart in the first place?

well i was told it was ran with out oil so i took off the oil pan and there was copper in it so me and a friend took it all apart and i knew it was going to be bearings and that's what it was, the main bearings were ok but the rod bearings were shot, so i thought to myself as long as i have the engine apart what can i do to make it a bit faster for not a lot of money so i thought about boring the block cuz i can get it done here in town for $20 a hole

I think that the only GSXR600's with iron sleeves(that you can bore) were the first generation 93-94?? but its all a bit fuzzy trying to remember that far back. Any of the newer 600's are plated and it will cost you $400+ to bore and replate, plus $500+ for pistons.

I was thinking exactly what Speeddealer is saying. No way could you bore a modern motorcycle engine for only $20 a hole and be done with it.
