Spokane lap record

Did I hear someone broke the Spokane lap record at the last WMRRA event? Anyone have that information?

There was a rumor flying around Sat that Eli had set a new track record which would have been something as he had 60 laps on his tires!

It was close during the FU race and Eli may have broke it but no one will ever know cause the AMB loop was going bad so there was some missing laptimes.

The AMB loop picked up 4 of Eli's laps in FU. the fastest lap had him a couple tenths off. It's very well possible he may have broken it but due to some issues w/ 1 of the 2 loops in the ground and depending on where the rider crossed the line, determined if it got picked up.

It will be fixed for the next round @ Spokane.

Some SCCA customers told me we need another loop, about $300. In that case why not three?

To get technical for a bit...

There is only section (S/F) that has an AMB line. The problem is that the width of the track requires the use of two loops to fully cover the entire width of the track. One of those two loops is bad. WMRRA has a new loop in our possession and I'm working with the SCCA guys to get it installed next weekend so I can go out there and do some testing before hand.

If the track redesign does go through, I plan on working with the car guys to lay our loops in different spots on the track for splits.

Then the only limitation on having split times, is we need a $4k decoder @ each split. :)
