What do you do when you aren't feeling great during the race weekend? Do you push it? Or do you settle for what you get?

Here is my race report for Round 3. A little late.

I don't push it. I have found that pushing it during those times I'm a lot more likely to crash. Everybody has good days and bad days. There have been races where I had a 10+ second lead over 2nd place and I felt like I was just cruising. And then there were races where I was riding my ass off just to stay in 2nd place....

Only you could dig up this. I know this was your favorite song at prom. :lmao:

Literally every single time that someone in our house says "push it" (like closing the car door, closing the fridge, turning off the TV, whatever), either Carol or I break into this song.

My life is so sad.

don't push it. when this happens to me, i back it off a notch, focus on my lines, mechanics and try to be smooth without worrying about lap times. kinda of the go slow to go fast approach. i believe if you have the lines, the mechanics and are comfortable and smooth you will go fast. if you try to force it without having the basics nailed your just asking for trouble.

i actually try to start off each practice session with this approach and do not push the limit until i have confidence in my lines, mechanics, bike and tires.

Great advice Rick. I agree with this 100%

Great advice, I agree too.

I actually recommend taking it REALLY easy for at least the next four to five rounds, you don't want to over-exert yourself :twofinger:

LMAO...bastard! Not going to happen when you are on the track. Actually the last PR race when 3-4 of us got hung up at the bus stop and you gapped me, I had an absolute blast picking away at your gap till I finally got you. For some reason I just felt so good putting my head down and not making a mistake.

When are you going to post that vid of my only pass on you at Spokane last round. :couch:
