Mate i hope this takes off for you man. Good luck with it all.
As we all know what kind of quality work you do and how much pride you have in your workmanship. The condition your bikes and belongings are in are second to none.
For those who don't know i now own Corson's 600 that he built and raced over the past few seasons, every little thing was in A++ condition when i received it from him and all made and tuned with pride.
If anyone is looking for someone to take care of all their Dyno needs look no other place than Piper Racing.....

Do you have the software to tune a Bazzaz unit? I may have to get around to installing that in my bike.

Yes, I have the Bazzaz Z-FI software.

So after a few hours in Corson's hands, I've got a GSXR 750 that feels like my old 1000. If anyone is looking for a custom map, it's worth the drive. He did a very thorough job and I couldn't be more pleased with the results.
Now I just need to make it clear to the bike that it can't try to kill me with all this extra power.
Thanks man.

OK!!!... gotta revive this thread.
As of this morning, I have taken ownership of the dyno that I have been borrowing for the last few years. It is now MINE and I will be available to tune your motorcycle for next season. Feel free to ask around the paddock about my work, I am proud of my reputation. DynoJet model250i is still located just north of Bellingham... But it is worth the drive ;)
Give me a ring or shoot me an e-mail if you are interested.

7 WEEKS till the next round... plenty of time to make a trip to Bellingham and get your bike tuned....
More horseponies... more predictable throttle response, and harder drive off the corners!!!... what's not to love?

Can you make my 7 year old 636 faster than 750's? If so I'll be on the next ferry! Too many of those pesky things to fend off these days!

Lionel did you see how well Corson's very own 750 held up against the 1000's in formula ultra? Go check mylaps.com and then buy your ferry ticket. I am certain you would be happy with the money and time you spent at Corson's mad scientist lab. The guy loves tinkering and making a good thing into a perfect thing.
you could arrange to stop in B ham on your next trip down and save any extra commuting. :beerchug:

Well... It is definately possable, but will take more than just dyno time for sure. That being said, if your bike hasn't been tuned there is a good chance you are leaving something on the table anyway. Give me a shout if you wanna make a trip across the border... I prefer to tune on the weekends.

My post was entirely for entertainment purposes as I am not putting any further investment into this current bike. Engine tuning for ridability is something I am doing pronto with which ever bike I get next though.
I am a firm believer that if I don't win a race, it's 100% the riders fault and 0% machine. Novice allows 600/750/1000 bikes to run and if I wanted to I could have sold my 600 last year and ran a literbike but I really enjoy the 600 and it presents a great challenge to dice with the 750's and 1000's and allows for plenty of growth on my part.
I'm planning on selling the 600 at seasons end (or sooner) and then deciding on which bike to replace it with or perhaps take some time away.
I think the 750's could use another bike on the grid for filler to ensure those guys get contingency but that would be the biggest bike I'd consider. Then again, the SV's could also use more entries and that would also be a class where I could learn a LOT from some very seasoned riders and I like the "gentlemen"s approach" that class offers.

Your 636 is perfect for the 750 class. Ask Ryan Sutton about his experiences on his 636 last year. You can step right into 600 SB, both 750 classes, plus open SS if you were so inclined.

(bends down to pull out the excuse bag once again...)
Yes, I've spoken to Ryan LOT'S about his 636 - Fuzzy as well and after thinking about it long and hard, I've made the decision to not throw more money at this bike. Lipstick on a pig is the analogy that comes to mind!
For me to get my bike to Ryans state of tune would mean a $3,500 investment according to the quotes I got from Fuzzy this winter.
My bike = 109hp VS Ryans old 636 = 129hp
I'd need a full system, PC5, quickshifter, and a supersport build then add on suspension upgrades and I'm well over $4500 to be competitive with the 750's as far as power to weight ratio's go. Even then I'd be down anywhere from 5-15hp at best.
If I sell my current bike for $3400 or so, I think I can find myself a somewhat current model, nicely dialed in SV650, 600 or even 750 with the addition of another $2600 on my part for an all in price of about $6000 or so.
Then all I need is Chromie's skills and I'm set!

no need to take time off work to hang out while your bike is being tuned either!!!
I prefer to tune on friday, saturday, sunday (when we aren't racing) as i have to work a 9to5 like the rest of the world.
keep in mind, it takes 3(+) hours to make a complete fuel map so come hang out and ask questions or plan to have lunch in Bellingham or Ferndale.
(I am not booked for this coming sunday if anyone wants to smooth the bike out before the next race day)
CHEERS!!!
