2009 NW ENDURANCE CUP

Saturday, May 2 begins the 2009 NW Endurance Cup Series. OMRRA will host the first round of the Series at Portland International Raceway.

The NW Endurance series combines the fastest riders, on the fastest bikes, with the best race strategy, a four-hour slugfest. Last year’s final round was a nail biter with the top three team only separated by 3 points, a winner take all throw down. There was plenty of drama with early crashing, mechanical issues, and the winner walking away from the competition in the last hour of the race.

New this year is the NOVICE ONLY class, a trophy class sponsored by Black Flag Racing. The class will consist of teams of 3 or more novice riders battling for a championship of road racing rookies.

Contingency is available in all classes. MotoClub/SDS and most tire manufacturers have stepped up to make this season more contingency laden than in the past.

Anyone with a race license is eligible to participate. So far it looks as if there is going to be a pretty good grid and lots of competition. So get your teams together, fill out the entry form, and we’ll see you at PIR, Saturday May 2.

The NW Endurance Cup Series is looking for a series sponsor. If you know of a potential sponsor or want to sponsor the class, please contact me and I will forward your email to the appropriate party.

See you at PIR May 2.
