So is this a result of DMG rule changes that are allowing privateer teams to actually compete ??

Privateers always could compete but at least the one smart thing they did was limit the Superbike mods, which to some is dumb but I think its a smart move, should help level the playing field although I haven't watched Fontana yet.

Don't think it's leveled the playing field at all....
But it's no doubt cheaper for privateers to build competitive bikes now, vs last year even Jordan could acquire all the same parts the Yosh buys were using.

I saw thru highlights, :mad2: that the Daytona race was close?????
It should level the playing a bit, no more super one off bits but just like Nascar, there is always a way around it.
