Hey All,
Come one come all to a benefit for Lena Kuebler.
Event: Lenapalooza
"Shivering Denizens • The Elks • Zero Down • Lung Oven"
What: Fundraiser
Host: Schmidt Crüe
Start Time: Friday, March 27 at 9:00pm
End Time: Saturday, March 28 at 2:00am
Where: Sunset Tavern in Ballard
Cost: $10 cover
Lena is the daughter of Darrin and Kathi Kuebler. Darrin is a WMRRA and PIT Racing member and all around great guy.
Lena turned 1yr old in November and is a bright eyed little girl with a constant smile. Looking at Lena, most wouldn't notice anything out of the ordinary, but Lena was born with only one functioning lung.
This will always pose a challenge for Lena. However, the biggest threat to this little girl faces now is RSV or Respiratory Syctial Virus which infects the lungs and breathing passages. This highly contagious virus can lead to bronchiolitis and pneumonia - a very dangerous prospect for Lena. These are sensitive days and months for Lena as her body grows and matures. She is currently taking a monthly injection of a drug consisting of RSV antibodies. The injections cost $8,000 a month and need to be taken five months a year, for at least two years. Even with the help of insurance, this is a heavy bill.
The bottom line is, Lena can't afford to get sick. So lets help our friends, and Lena break through to a healthy life.
