Hey all,

I'm wondering who our local Bridgestone, Michelin, Dunlop and Pirelli tire reps are.

I'm currently running a set of Michelin Pilot Power Race (soft F, Med R) that I bought through a local dealership when I was working there but I'm looking for slicks and I'm not sure how they compare to DOT race tires so I'm looking for professional advice and sales support.

I'm also open to hearing what's top and what's not from our community and what you may happen to like

Thanks in advance for the info!

Don't know much about the others now but after farting around with other brands in the past, I only recommend Dunlop -- especially since KFG's (Barry's) crew are some of the best anywhere.

I went through Mich, and Pirellis, but settled on the Dunnys as well. They really have exceptional side grip that help the GSXR 1K hook up at the exit. Give Barry Wressel a call 206 372 6898. Not only does he know his shxt, but he's there for nearly every track day and every race weekend to lend support and help you get your suspension dialed in for the tires you're using.

As I understand it, Pirelli is having er... distribution problems locally. Just FYI

Doesn't Barry also work with GP Supsension??

Barry also does GP Suspension, yes

Dunlop - Barry Wressel w/KFG Dunlop
Michelin - Rick Salmon w/SB Motorsports
Bridgestone - Troy McCrae w/Pennell Powersports
Pirelli - was Tyson Silva w/Cascade Race Tire Services for 2008, afaik is undetermined for 2009.

Dunlops are a good tire but I'd give the Bridgestones a try if I were ya. Nearly $100 cheaper per set, and softer carcass = more forgiving tire re: suspension settings. Not to mention they're what I swear by ;)
