Hello all....I have been told that Spokane Raceway can be rented out for private trackdays for about $125 each (flat fee), minimum of 6 people. I spoke to a few guys at the NRC on March 18th who were possibly interested but forgot to get phone #'s. I will be contacting the rep at Spokane and obtain available dates soon, so if you were at the NRC or just interested in general, let me know. I think it would be a blast to get a bunch of us Novices together and go have a Privat eTrack for the day. I will post any info as soon as I get it.

Andrew!!! I totally forgot you were there yesterday. This is Nico, your brother Cary's really good friend. I talked to him tonight when he asked if I saw you yesterday. Totally spaced it.

I think you're thinking of someone else..i don't have a brother. there was another Andrew there yesterday though. it was wierd, cuz my mom said someone talked to her at the mall and knew me from the Track.. but i think that was meant for someone else too :-) I"m sure i'll get to you know you some time anyway.
cheers!

Isn't the guy who wadded that ZX10 the long haired blonde guy? I think he crashed on the outside of me in turn two...if we are talking about the same guy. He walked away....bike didn't look so good though!

I need to know how many of you can make a weekday Private Track session at Spokane. There are a number of dates throughout the season. I would like to do one soon, let's say April 17 or 18th (Mon & Tues). Then go from there with possible more dates.
All we need is 6!!! $130 each, still waiting to hear what the ambulance fee is. Sweeper will go out onto the track first thing. If we want cornerworkers we will have to provide them. Family members and girlfriends!! This will probally end up being a fun day so we will have to back off from race pace a bit.
Let me know ASAP!!!

I don't think i can do one as early as April. Any chance for Thursdays or Fridays? Where can you find out what days are open for renting? Is it on their web site or do you have to call and ask?

Go to www.spokaneraceway.com , Grand Prix, Schedule.
Let me know the other dates that interest you. I have time off every other weekend as well as 2 to 3 weekdays on certain weeks.

Nice part of doing it in spokane is that it is a smaller turn out and you get more track time and it makes learnign easier. I just need to know if we are going to do this as I may need some tires.

great idea.
it's only around 600 bucks for the whole day to rent the track & certainly worth the drive to spokane. that's w/out ambulance or anyone to manage the corners of course.

I have the 29th off - is anyone thinking a day trip, or are most people going to spend the night the night before and/or after. I might do it, if anyone is going to make a mad dash out there late friday night or early saturday morning. Plus, it would be cool to car pool if someone has room for a bike - to save on gas money. How did you get a Saturday ?? I hope i read that right - April 29th .. a saturday.. right ?

a mad dash to spokane in the morning and then returning home is a recipe for a nasty wreck on the way home from exhaustion.

Hehe...yeah..there are a number of dangerous corners that need airfence or improved runoff. But you just have to accept Spokane for what it is...especially with all the talk of it closing, any hope of improvements I think are just not realistic. I still Love the track though...very fun!!

Turn 2 needs more runoff.... Turns 9-10 need more runoff and a bit of airfence.
But I have more fun in Spokane than I do Pacific. It is a very fun track to ride... just go out and enjoy yourself. You won't regret it.

I know this is a little "after the fact," but I live about 5 minutes from SRP and would be willing to house a couple of hombre's from the west side next time the track is open. I have an extra room, big driveway (for residential), garage, tools, and plenty of floor space.. Just try and give me a message as early as possible, so I can get things ready and OK it with the ol' lady.
I'm currently serving in Afghanistan, but am scheduled to be home in the next couple of weeks. Anytime this season after that should be OK. I may even be able to talk my partner into loaning space at his crib. Although not nearly cozy as mine. :)
Sincerely,
Branden

I had sent you a pm saying that I was interested but unsure. Now I'm sure -- I finished the repairs on my bike and the weather looks killer, so I'll be there.
I'm pretty sure my buddy Ed (#87) will be there as well, and his wife might join us also (she doesn't race but has done many track days and schools).

They lost their insurance for any day that is not involving drag races. The drag strip is still insured and on days that it is running, the insurance covers the track. However, Saturday has no drag racing, therefore the insurance has been voided.

SPR called me Friday night at 10 to let me know that they lost their insurance. I am here in spokane until Sunday. Toni from SPR said they have another court date on Thursday about the insurance issue. They said we can ride Sunday 8am - 10am and 4pm - 8pm for cheap.
Sorry everyone that came out here. I came out and spent about 150 in gas. I am meeting with SPR today or tomorrow and they are going to give us all a discounted trackday hopefully half off or more for the near future.
I am still out here feel free to call me (425) 239 - 0792

I've got to say that I am a little pissed at the entire situation. I loaded up the trailer and took off from Seattle at 5pm on Friday, and pushed into Spokane around 10pm. The gas alone, as Marcus stated, approached $200 not to mention hotel. I show up at the gates on Saturday, only to be told that the track had lost their insurance....WTF! I could keep going, but I guess if in the future I can get some sort of track day credit or discount, I'll call it all good. End of rant.
Marcus

I will know about the discount day by the end of the week. And to boot my fuel pump went out on sunday over there so that was 900 plus all the gas so..... at least on sunday got to ride from 4pm - 7pm for $26. i'll keepyou updated and if you want any more details about why insurance was canceled give me a call 425 239 0792

If anyone knows of a motorhead with deep pockets, might want to tell them about SRP. I've heard in passing that most of SRP's problems are self-inflicted. To seriously deepen the problem, Northern Quest Casino next door desparately wants that land to expand its debaucherous services. Furthermore, about 2 years ago the casino poured a brand new parking lot that infringed on the tracks property and I believe Tony (or somebody affiliated with SRP) went out there with a bull dozer and plowed it. It made the evening news and didn't make the Indians too happy, if you know what I mean.
