Hey guys, i (eric) will not be able to attend this weekends event, however Gary (aka Papa Bear) that everyone knows and loves and basically my right hand man (easy...im left handed anyways) WILL BE there all day Friday, Saturday and SUnday to help out and lend a hand. Just look for the big guy in the red EDR race shirts with a huge smile.

We are bringing up 5 bikes friday and as such, we will have room to bring 5 back if anyone needs to get a bike to portland for EDR and/or GP Suspension, etc. Just ask Gary.

ALso, he will have in the truck, Vesrah brake pads, Carbonne Lorraine brake pads, Sunoco Fuel (of course you called and pre paid for it..right? lol) and some other misc if you need.

Hope everyone has a great weekend and keeps me informed via text. I really wish i could attend. Good luck to everyone and be safe! See ya next round myself.

Here is a big shout out to Gary (Papa Bear) for his help and patience on Saturday with the electrical problems I was having with the borrowed R6. Eric, you have an excellent person in Gary.

I have many other people to thank for this weekend, including for sure Eric, Gary and the rest of the crew from EDR for getting the R1 turned around at the last minute and at the track; Barry, Butters, and Darrin and everyone else with KFG for doing what they do best -- provide great tires, service, a can-do attitude and great advice; Trevor with Flexiglass for the quick turn-around on the body work for the R6 and Colin for bring it down; a big thanks for Phil, Lindsay, Marty, Jim, Rick and everyone else who stepped in and gave me a hand in and out of the pits (2 bikes feels like 4x the effort, esp. with 4 races in 1 day!); Jake Rower for taking my bike down to EDR last weekend and letting me use your voltage regulator only to discover the real source of the problem (your ride on Sunday was pretty impressive!), and Dave Nichols for helping out and just being Dave -- its much appreciated; Dave Lannigan for help in trying to figure out WT@#$@#$ was going on with the charging system and that blasted R6; Greg Adams for letting me use his bike while he's healing up; and last but not least, all the WMRRA staff, volunteers and corner workers who without them we could not have the fun we do. THANKS!

Great weekend everyone, I hope all who got hurt heal up and get back out there when you are ready!

+1 to Gary. He was awesome this weekend and his help was much appreciated even though ultimately, it was my frying the clutch that ended the weekend. :(

Thanks for the trackside support EDR!

A big thanks to Gary as well, not for this weekend but for all the work he put into my bike over the winter that laid the ground work for this weekends achievements. I had the enviable pleasure of just getting on the bike and riding it this weekend. No engine problems, no electrical issues, no brakes going spongy, nothing. The bike just felt bullet proof, which allowed me to focus my attention on the track and the rider ahead of me.

A HUGE shout out to Barry and KFG Dunlop. A last minute gearing change made a big difference in the bikes performance, thanks for pulling a chain and sprocket out of thin air and getting it on the bike in time for the weekend.

Full race report yet to come...
