My friend Fred DeFord, me and a couple others are organizing a trackday at Spokane. We need a minimun of 15 people to sign up for the $150 trackday by this Friday. Otherwise it probably won't happen. It is being sponsored by F and A Metal Fabrication.

Depending on the number of people who sign up there will be three groups. We anticipate a beginner/street rider group with fairly loose requirements on protective gear and they will get lot's of instruction. We have an excellent beginner instructor slated to come.

There would also be a slow and fast group and these two groups would require full leathers/boots/gloves/helmet.

If, by this Friday, we have at least 15 prepaid riders, Fred will reserve the track. This will be an organized trackday with medical support on location, but not a track school. We will also try to have some tire support on site, as well.

Fred has a PayPal account through F and A Metal Fabrication to collect entry fees. Go to Paypal and send it to fred <at> fandametalfab <dot> com. If at least 15 riders do not sign up by this Friday, this will not happen and anyone that has paid, will get full refunds and an appology.

There will be no problem getting this going if enough people sign up by Friday so please do what you can and pass the word on. PM me for the registration form and I will need your email addresses to send it to.

What are the requirements for track rental now? I remember a post here in the past where just 6 people were going to rent it out. Do they require a larger group now? Or is it just that it costs $2250 for the track/ambulance and 15 people gets it down to a reasonable price?

Man, I wish I could get over there and ride with you guys. I've only been there once and it was not enough.

The days of 6 people are no more. It will take several people more than 15, but we are just taking risk that more will show up over the next two weeks. It also takes a business licenses and insurance.

I sent in my dough on Friday with paypal but still haven't tracked down one of those 20th century steam punk "facsimile transmission machines" :headscratch: to send Fred my reg form. Should be able to do that today.

But the big question is... Did we get enough people? Is it happenin'?

Hey Tim,

We got 10 people so far. We have turned in the application and deposit to the County, but they are willing to work with us if we need to back out.

The problem is we need 10 more people in order to cover the cost. The insurance payment is due right now and we are not going to pay it until we get more people.

Do whatever you can to come join us for our August 18 trackday at Spokane. If we don't hear from you ASAP we will have to bag it.

Thanks.

Just letting everyone know that this trackday is happening. Everything is setup, we have enough people, etc. So if anyone else was interested in coming over we will be happy to have you at the trackday.

I would have joined in on the fun had it been on the weekend. I will stay tuned for more dates though, excited to hear that Spokane is going again.
