SRP future tied to local elections?

A couple of my car customers brought back some interesting rumors flying around Spokane from the last weekend.

It looks like the current council members that are pro-track are under threat at their upcoming elections and their opponets are anti-track and for converting it to Industrial use and selling off some portions to the local casino's ....guess that gives away what party they are in ;)

Any of you guys in Spo know about this? I'm willing to ship a few bucks to the pro-track guys.

I didn't know about it, but it is troubling to here. Some of these things can be misunderstood.
