I usually don't have a problem - but I know others that have had them dry up and flick out. Bring glasses just in case...

I was told that if you could wear contacts instead of glasses that you should do it. This is because if you crash wish glasses on they can break/cut your nose pretty bad. I race with contacts and I've never had a problem.

I wear glasses and only use contacts at the track or when i'm wearing goggles (dirtbike/skiing). Only time I have an issue is if the contacts are getting old. I'll use the same disposables for events until they dry out which is sometimes several months.

Never had a problem, in either Scorpion or Shoei helmets.

no problems here - contacts 100% of the time.

I've lost a contact twice while out on the track. It kinda sucks!
I only have a problem when a certain vent is open, or my visor isn't all the way close, and a puff of wind catches my eye just right, and I blink, then out pops the contact. Kind of a perfect storm of events, but it's happened.
I always have a couple spare sets with me, just in case.

Chris, do they ever pop out when you crash? :pokestick:

I wear contacts and I'm blind as hell without them (they are -5.5 and -5.0 for reference.) At a track day earlier this year I blinked just after the death chute and they both rolled back in my eyes (I guess they were dry,) scary as shit. So basically doing 150mph with people around me I started waving my hand wildly and went straight down the little access road that goes towards the T2 apex. I ran over a cone in the process but that's all that happened. Hung out against the wall back there for about 10 minutes until they rolled back. Now I put drops in my eyes several times per day and it's been fine. Makes me nervous still though. Imagine if that happened just before T5 in a race, yikes!
