WERA racer Corey Baum completed his second WERA national race this last weekend at Las Vegas Motor Speedway in Las Vegas, Nevada. Despite the raging heat soaring to over 115 degrees at times Baum managed to keep his focus and provide some results that surprised everyone.Baum managed to beat his personal best lap time this weekend by nearly 3 seconds, and put down an impressive 1:23.774. “Thanks to the support from my pit mates between races, I was able to beat the heat and focus on the races ahead.”
With some last minute cooling advice from Faron Krader at GixxerTek consulting, Baum managed to survive the weekend and keep his bike within optimum operating temp. “With Faron’s advice I was able to keep the bike cool, while the rest of the field was dealing with overheating issues, when the heat was at its hottest.”

Throughout the adverse racing conditions Baum managed to place; 4th in 750 Superbike, 6th in 750 Superstock, 5th in 600 Superbike, 7th in 600 Superstock.

Corey will be racing next at AutoClub Speedway (Fontana) on August 3rd. Be sure to check www.coreybaum.com for the latest results.

Corey would like to especially thank his friends and family for their outstanding support this weekend. “Everyone was so supportive, it was relieving to be able to put everything else aside and focus on racing” says Baum.

Corey would sincerely like to thank his sponsors for his success;
