Cost us alot of money? Looks like they are paying more than the AMA ever has! $50k for a win and will pay $5k all the way back to 20th I believe in 600sbk. I don't agree with the rules package. I believe it should be along the lines of WSBK but they are showing the riders the money for sure. should be interesting to see what its like. Can't be any worse than it is now.

i don't think he'll necessarily ruin it but dumbing down the bikes kind of pisses me off. Racing isn't just about the competition and advertising for manufacturers. It's also about a lot of R&D and making the bikes that much better for US. You dumb down the bikes what R&D is going to happen. I certainly know NASCAR hasn't done jack shit for car R&D.
On the spec tires...i'm not totally against it. It is bullshit in my opinion that Spies and Mladin get the good stuff when privateers have to get the "other" tires. That isn't a good platform for competition. Again though, the question of R&D comes in. They get the prototype tires. Maybe they should just put everyone on the latest and greatest?
As far as the 600s being the premier class...well I already am way more intrested in 600SS than Superbike since it's so damn close.
