Hey everyone! I'm looking to replace my key ignition switch with a regular switch that doesn't require a key. I Tried, but i can't get it to start. When i turn on the switch and try and start it, it won't do anything. I keep thinking i've missed a safety switch or something but i haven't. I've covered everything, or so i've thought. Any help would be great!

they have a resistor in them, you have to measure what it is and put one in series with it

What has a resistor in it? The toggle switch or the key switch?

the oem ignition switch has a resistor
Did you get this figured-out? I can help -- I just did this on my 05 600 racebike. Let me know...

Yeah, i got it figured out. What happened is that i put 12v to the two small safety wires and blew the neutral switch. There wasn't anything involving a resistor. But thanks for asking.
Cool -- glad you got it sorted.
