Free WMRRA photo

Hey guys, the 2006 race season is coming up and I am still looking for a company(s) to sponsor me so I can still make it out there to shoot for you guys. One way I thought could help is to help out WMRRA, I noticed that many of you do not have a picture attached to your WMRRA profile. This is a great place for you to have a picture up and show off your sponsor logos on your bikes.

Here is my offer (and please, someone post the link to this on the WMRRA mailing list, I cannot seem to post to it anymore). Simply reply to this thread with a link to one of your favorite photos that I took of you from the 2005 season and I will work with WMRRA's webmaster to get it up on the site. Great exposure for you as well as me.

And please....a link to the picture. There are over 7000 WMRRA pictures alone that I took last season, posting a picture of yourself to this thread gives me a ton of work to go find which date you are referring to. Posting a link from my site to here will give me all the info I need.

Thanks for taking charge of this Brandon -- the more pics we have in the gallery the better.

As the start of the season gets closer I'll take down the "congrats to the top 5" section of the front page and replace it with the same rotating "featured rider of the day" section that we had last year. So everybody who has a picture in the gallery will get some time on the front page. :cool:

Not a problem Tim. Hopefully we can work together in the 2006 season and come up with some banners or something to line up at the track. So tired of coming to a motorcycle event and seeing drag racing banners hanging up. Even just ones that we could tie up or stake into place in the blank areas would be good. Perhaps some of our faithful sponsors would like new material as well.

Tim, what is the dimensions those are going up at?600 wide is the key. It doesn't really matter for the gallery, but when they rotate into the Featured Rider section of the front page anything other than 600 messes up the page layout. Height doesn't really matter.

Some look a little odd, especially when I look at my logo. I am sending them to you at 600x4xx do you need a specific size?You've sent almost all of them at 600 wide, but a couple (2 or 3?) came at 640 wide, so I resized them to 600. Those are probably the ones which look odd. Unfortunately I didn't take notes as to which ones I changed, and I didn't save the originals.

I've also been shrinking the file size with higher JPG compression rates to save server space, but now I'm wondering if maybe I've taken that too far. If the picture quality is too low (other than on the few I resized from 640 to 600, which will obviously be worse) then I'll have to revisit that issue.

Not to late for anyone else that wants their picture up on the site, I have no issues with you downloading it and using it for a racer profile on Road Racer X (I have already had 4 of my sponsored bikes up there with my photos) or on Road Racing World. Free publicity for me and more hope that I will be able to film for you guys this season (not looking good right now).

You also can buy the 2005 WMRRA CD of all of your pictures for $200, that is the same price as only 4 CD's but you get the whole season (does not include track days) that is a total of 10 events that I filmed for the price of 4.

Basically just need a PR job that allows me to do the photography thing as well as promote racers. You can see what I did for many of the racers already last season on Road Racer X and Ducati.com as well as soon to be in Road Racer X magazine (including the special edition track day next month) and NESBA for their entire ad campaign.

It would be interesting if one of the local dealers that sponsors a bunch of riders brought me on or if a few dealers brought me on together. I missed out on a lot last year (Portland, Spokane, Thunderhill, Mission Raceway). Ultimately, it was a fun year.
