this is the track I mentioned a meeting or so ago and the response was that its been around for lawhile

The one that is having funding issues is Oregon raceway park which is differnt then this one. It is in grass valley.

This one. I think will get of the ground and we need a couple of dates there

It was in the Tri-City Herald Friday...they had a groundbreaking ceremony. Totally different track than the Oregon raceway Park which is going absolutely nowhere..to my understanding at least.

They're doing the same damn thing at a super nice track over in the southeast, in louisiana I believe. Super expensive, private, track with housing, camping, and full "i can own it" type paddock garage, right off the track. In my dreams i guess!

Texas has one - I've ridden it - it's fantastic and for the money, it's actually a really fantastic deal!! Cresson Motorsports Ranch is a great facility and for the membership/monthly fee, you essentially get unlimited track days. They have member days where as a member you get to use the track all day. IN their case, it was run by sessions, cars, cars, bikes all as separate sessions but usually there are less than 10 bikes there - the first day we went, there were 2 bikes there, just TWO bikes on the track for 20 minutes every hour - or more if there weren't cars there to run in a session. As a member you get guest passes so you can invite people to come run with you - How many racers who are faster than you would you invite to come ride with you in exchange for a few pointers....and how many experts would turn down a free track day with you in return for showing you a few nice lines? It's actually a really fantastic deal...pricey? As first glance, but if you can remotely afford it, in the long run, it's a great bargain!

Let's hope this track has a realistic budget and stays on course in their building plans!

You don't have to be a member to ride the track. Miller is a membership track too. Its just that members have their priviliages.

Members also play a big part in the facility getting built. The track, if built, would be open to hosting competitive racing events. I beilieve the website says something about it in the FAQ's.

why can't WMRRA run at tracks outside WA?

Nobody said that, if this park becomes a feasible option, WMRRA will try to book dates there. WMRRA worked very closely with Grass Vally and we'll work closely with this one as well.

If the track is built it would be awesome to have a track like Spokane that has pretty decent and predictable weather...unlike Pacific. Would also be nice to have the final race in an area with better weather rather than in the Seattle area in October when it is ALWAYS wet and cold.

If Pacific were to create a membership system with garages, new pavement (and guaranteed upgrades), no drags on the track and better facilities - I would sign up in an instant.

seems like a good way to make more money and improve the track.
