I just thrashed my bike in spokane and now I need new plastics. I have an 06 GSXR, anybody with a GSXR that has WELL fitting body work. I was going to go with GP Composites, but they are no more. Any other suggestions?

Sharkskinz or Flexiglass. :+1 to both of those, you could try cheetah body work as well. Fits pretty good, and a little bit cheaper as well.

Armour Bodies came in first in RRW's big bodywork test a while back.
$550 for a whole set too.

The airtech body work I just got for my 02' GSXR is great quality and far superior to the hotbodies crap I had used before. Click the link in my sponsor sig below to get to their site if your interested. They are not the top of the line like the first two mentioned but their also not a grand for the set. :)

Attack bodywork is some of the best I've seen. Great construction, perfect fit-up and nice finish from the factory.

I had heard all of these great things about Armour Bodies, too, which is why I didn't even shop around and just bit the bullet and got them for my bike. I have to say I was quite disappointed in the quality. I wouldn't say they had some of the woes that people describe from, say, Hot Bodies, but they still were in no way deserving of the $900+ dollars for the set ('03 600RR). The lower rests against the middle header pipes, causing burnt holes (two sets of AB, both did it, had to wrap the pipes). The fiber glass on the left side was delaminating a bit, leaving about a six inch crack-looking-thing right down the one of the most visible parts of the bike. The hole for the gas cap is not where it should be, leaving an ugly gap around the gas cap trim, the back end of the lower sticks up too much and is directly below the chain, so the chain machines into it as you ride. And half of the indentations where you're supposed to drill for mounting screws were not in the right place. All in all, it was quite a lot of work to get them remotely decent for a set of bodywork that cost nearly a thousand dollars.
I've heard good things about the Attack stuff and will ditch AB and give them a try next time.

It seems to me that everyone is looking for cheap bodywork that fits like a glove and has an immaculate finish out of the box, and it just doesn't exist!
Wait for a really hot day to fit your bodywork (or use a heat gun) and get the fiberglass REALLY hot before you try to fit it. Bodywork will deform even in the small amount of time that it takes to ship to you. the longer the fiberglass stays in that position and the warmer it gets, the more it wants to STAY in that position (which is why nothing fits better than a set of bodywork that has been raced on for a while).
I keep hearing a TON of negative things about Hotbodies bodywork but I LOVE the stuff. It is REALLY cheap and crashes REALLY well. Those are the two most important things on my list. I order a set and I plan to spend a day in the garage with a heat gun and Dremel getting everything to fit just right but when it is on there I have $$$ left to spare and it goes on great time after time after time.
In my opinion, if you want good bodywork, plan to spend around 1000$ on a set of sharkskins, but even they aren't perfect. Then what? are you going to rattle can a set of 1000$ bodywork? nope, better spend 500$ to get it painted and another 60$ to get the nifty quick turn fasteners. THEN, try to get the realisation out of your head that you just spent over 1500$ on a sweet looking set of bodywork that you will inevetably wad up!
OR... spend 500$ on a set of bodywork and 100$ on some rattle cans or your choice of cheap auto paint and spend the time to get it to fit right and learn how to repair it properly. Then you wont have to be worried about your expensive bodywork getting a rock chip and when you toss it you can slap it back together and get back on.
now, after three crashes, one repair and two paint jobs my HotBodies bodywork fits better than anything out of the box. (just my opinion)

Tromex bodywork off of EBAY is kick ass stuff. I think it was around $400.
Fits well. Decent finish.

Hotbodies do the trick. Like piper said take your time get it warm make marks were it is'nt fitting right and grind a bit of at a time. I spend a couple hours on mine and got it to fit pretty good.

I dont know what y'all experience has been with Sharkskinz but I've had to do zero work to get it to work. It mounts perfectly (both sets), requires zero prep work, crashes way better than any other set of bodywork I've used (hotbodies, godfathers), and it doesnt HAVE to have a $500 paint job. How much $ you put into something is entirely YOUR choice. Nothing is REQUIRED.

Wow it looks like almost everyone who responded has a different opinion. I have Attack on my R6 and it fit, painted and crashed really well! The price is not bad either. Contact www.indysuperbikes.com for a decent price.

all I am trying to say is "you get what you pay for"...
If you want bodywork that mounts up like Sharkskins or comes with a finish like flexi-glass you are gonna have to PAY for it. or save some $$$ and expect a bit of work.

^^ It's always about time vs money. I usually have more of the former so a dremel and heat gun are my friends.

Cosron's right that you'll get what you pay for but I will never spend another dime on Hotbodies as I think their shit. The Airtech for similar price is far superior in every way measureable, except crashing as I haven't tested them on that yet. I surely will though, LOL. :)

You used a heat gun? What does that do for the plastics? I have noticed that the plastics do change shape. One minute they fit like shit, and the next it's like no problem. However the last plastics I got were utter shit. I don't even remember the brand name. Hopefully the flexi glass plastics I bought will work out better. And by the way, a rattle can paint job looks bad ass if you take your time. Then CLEAR COAT that sob.

The flexi-glass is great stuff, you may have to do some modification to the undertail because Trev at Flexi-glass told me that they were designed with aftermarket subframes in mind.....wasn't that bad though, if you saw a team Jordan (white and blue) rip off bike at Spokane that was my bike with the flexi-glass stuff on it. :bigok:
