First year ofcourse, and I'm setting up an 03 ZX-6R 636. Really looking forward to it, love working on my bike, but I'm wondering if anyone has any tips to help the process go smooth, or maybe make sure I'm not forgetting anything? Curious especially about my kickstand: If I unplug it when I take it off, My bike thinks it's down and the engine kills when I put it in gear?

You must twist the two wires together so they are contected then the bike wont stall when put in gear.

Get in touch with a trackside suspension guy. Find Dave Alexander or the GP Suspension truck and get set up for your height and weight. It's easier (and cheaper) for you if you just roll up and get some input, then make the changes yourself.

Definitely get a steering damper for that thing if you don't have one yet! ;)
