First race of the year - bike runs like junk, water in your oil. and smokes like a Cheech and Chong movie..too bad you must have used another engine builder!
Nah..you were lazy and did'nt touch your bike after the last race. So how about doing the bare Min.
1 Drain race fuel from your tank ( set aside for later dirt use ), drain carb float bowls-if you got them,Fill tank with pump gas and storage/fuel dryer additive and if you have a fuel injected bike run for a minute with the pump gas. *Note* come springtime drain out this stuff and use it your lawnmower / Harley.
2 Pull Airbox and Spark plugs out, disconnect crank signal or cam position sensor ( no bike BBQ ) and fog engine with a good storage lube - don't be shy about getting it in there. Install new plugs two or three heat ranges hotter for spring start up only.*Note* Do not ride with hot plugs in!!
3 Drain cooling Sys. out, and install anti-freeze mix. And don't forget to drain and flush it before the first race weekend and get yelled at ( and fined )
like me.
This would be the minimum prep job but doing more: Batt,Chassis Lube,Oil and Filter Etc. will just save you dough so you can spend it at the WMRRA banquet.
