yeah, been checking that out...
will probably do some track days with my SV650S

but for racing, i was thinking GP250... less expensive

Don't know about less expensive, they're fairly high maintainance compared to a SV, but very easy to work on. But a total blast to ride, a good source of information on two-smokes can be found at TZ250Racing.com (http://www.tz250racing.com).

to learn about GP bike racing.

It isn't cheap, but they are *real* race bikes and nothing will handle the turns like a 125cc or 250cc GP bike.

I race a Honda RS125R GP bike (I'm #191 - Jeff Webber) and I love it but they are not cheap to race and they have higher maintenance needs. Talk to a GP racer to find out more. The forums at the sites above should be very helpful. In addition you are welcome to ask me questions as well.
