Jeff Mills has passed away

I just got the tragic news that Jeff Mills passed away this weekend. Initial
report is that it appears to be from a heart attack. He was only 42 years
young.

Memorial details will be available soon.

I'm hoping that some of you older members can fill in the details of when Jeff
and Jack raced and volunteered for the newer members. I met Jeff through Jack
when Jack was tuning for Schenk racing and has been a great friend and 2-stroke
mentor to Dave and I. Jeff was always ready with a smile and a great race
story. My heart goes out to the Mills family.

Wow.

Jeff was a helluva nice guy, and was always ready to help, even if you didn't ride 2-strokes. He was a good friend to Mike and I; we will miss him.

He (and Jack) have been in WMRRA for many years, more than I know about, and volunteered for just about every job that needed doing, including assisting Jack when Jack was the President of WMRRA.

Godspeed Jeff, you are in my prayers.

Viewing for Jeffrey Mills will be held Tuesday 3/27/07 2pm - 8pm & Wednesday
3/28/07 9am - 2pm at Bonney Watson 166th So and International Blvd (hwy 99)

The memorial service will be held Saturday 3/31/07 2pm - 4pm at Keystone
Church of Christ 5019 Keystone Place N. Seattle, WA 98103 (wallingford
area)

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to help with Jeffrey's funeral expenses.

Jeff was in charge of the NRC when I attempted racing (for those around back in 96 you might remember my ill-fated novice year). Jeff became a wonderful friend to me. He was so giving of his time to new and old racers alike. He will be missed. My heart goes out to Jack and the rest of the Mills family.
