So, I am going through my SV after a season of track days and I am getting her ready to race. I need brake pads. I have old EBC pads that need replacing. Anyway, what brand are people using and what to look for in a set. I am not sure if the pads were old, but I think my bike could stop better. I am use to the tires being the limiting factor, but the Dunlop 209's didn't begin to give under braking. I have stainless brake line already. The suspension was not setup at all for me, I just bought the bike and rode to get to know the tracks. So, nevermind the braking issues. Back on topic, what brands do ya'll like and why. I also need a good Suzuki dealer in the Olympia area. Thanks for the input

I love the SBS Dual Carbon's on my F4i.
But I've only used the stock pads on my SV (street and race). They had lots to be desired. So I've contacted Ferodo and will be giving their new ceramic/carbon pads the C2.11 a shot. I'll know more after Wednesday.
But if anything you'll want a set of race pads due to their quick break in and ability to handle the higher heat you'll get on the track. Since the SV's front end is so bad I personally wouldn't go for a brake pad that has a very strong initial bite or it'll help make that excess fork dive even worse.

I ended up going with EBC's. We will see what happens. I really can't beleive how expensive they were.

which cards did you get?
the EBC kits cards are the shizzle.

I got the double H's.
try out the HH kit pads next time. you ask them to slow the bike for you and they ask you to hold on as they try to pop your eyes out of their sockets.
