Those 800s are tiny - I think Pedrosa will fit, but Hayden looks like the ol' monkey / football thang :eek:

I know they look tiny but I just read someplace that they weigh the same as the 990s

Hayden's 990 last year was actually the prototype chassis for this year's 800 bike. I'm sure there are subtle differences to make the bigger engine fit and whatnot, but I'd bet they're very similar in size. It's not like the 990s were really all that huge of a bike either, size-wise.

They were limited to 326 lb. (as a minimum) for 4 and 5 cylinders, IIRC.

SportRider this month had an interesting column from editor Kent Kunitsugu about not understanding all the Nicky-hating. It was a pretty good column.
