Kickstand bypass?

I just bought a street 04 Gsxr 600 which i'm in the process of converting to a racebike only. Can anyone give me a quick tip as to how to bypass the kickstand safety feature that kills the motor if the kickstand is down and it's in gear? I don't think I can just simply remove the kickstand. Thanks.

Steve, remove the merc switch from the bike and unplug it from the harness. Then cut the wires from the merc switch side; leaving enough wire to work with. Clean the two wires and then but them together with a red crimp sleave. Then plug it back into the harness. (The plug for this is green) This will make the bike think that the kickstand is up..Call me if you need more info..

Heres another suggestion, I tried this way out only because I convert my street bike back and forth from street to race and wanted to keep the kickstand switch in place. I used one of those wire splicers that enable you to connect two wires together without having to cut them. This eliminates you from having to remove any parts from the bike in the case your bike is not dedicated like mine :) Anyways all you have to do is cut open enough of the sheath that covers the two wires going into the switch, put the two wires in the splicer close it and your good to go. No. Going to sit this one out. Too much of a drive for one day of racing for me plus my new bike isn't ready. Hey, did you get my Pm about needing some help with the kickstand?
