Would anyone recommend a painter and a fabricator/builder in the Seattle area?

I saw a black 999 that I am sure belongs to someone from WMRRA and it had a bulider/fabricator listed on the tag.

Thanks for your help!

What are you trying to do? Painter, I would reccomend Russ Foy at Custom Classic Paintworks Or Brandon Knowles also does a nice job.

I will do that. I just want a nice paint job - maybe a replica-like job. Any contact info? I will just google them otherwise...

Thank you for the info!

A nice paint job on a race/track bike means you will crash it hard the first time you take it out.

Dont listen to Luke, just look at his avatar.Anybody that sports(sported) a Yellow suit and blue bike cant really know what "nice" looks like. Dont get too nice of a paint job thought. Its bound to get beat up some.

I can confirm this, as the first track day after spending about $550 on a paint job I went down in the 3rd session. Why I will be spraying the bike myself this winter.

+1... I only spent 100$ on paint to spray my bike myself, but I took the time to do a nice job AND... first day on the track I screwed it all up!

I want to paint it again sooo bad... but crashing hurts:)

Crashing does suck, but having a good looking bike goes a long way when representing YOUR sponsors which is what people are doing!

ya, waste of money on having a good paint job. Do it yourself. Its not too hard at all

Or find a sponsor to pay for painting it initially and as you crash...

I was surprisingly able to find a few painters in my area who were wiling to paint for only the cost of materials. Might want to try that approach. I think my entire paint job ending up costing anout $150...tank, tail, upper, lower and painted on number plates with a black border! Pretty cheap compared to some others! You can see the bike at of course Studio 819, number 920, and 820 late season. You can also see it at www.ajracing.net.

I am definitely not scared of painting it myself - just looking for something a little better. BTW, I haven't crashed one of my own fresh paint jobs (later of course, just not the first day), but they say the same thing about new leathers, helmets, etc. But, there is a first time for everything. So, anyone have Brandon's contact info or know where I can get it? Thanks for all the response.

Russ isn't painting race bodywork this season so does anyone have any contact info for Brandon?

Or find a sponsor to pay for painting it initially and as you crash...

I once sposored a guy that crashed 6 times in 1 year..He only entered 6 races...So that means he crashed his freshly "Free" Painted motorcycle every time he got on it.......After that I Gave up sopnsoring for a while...

Until....... 2 girls who raced came calling....Needless to say , first race, they both crashed, so I Cut Them Off.....Maybe he's right...

I've done a few nice Ducati's though...Fab as well as Paint...Sorry I'm not in WA....But I Ship.....Check me....
