Grab some Michelin Pilot Power. THE best street tire ever. I got mine from http://www.americanmototire.com/

Agree on the Pilot Powers.....I would say give Rick at SB Motorsports a call but I see you are in Mount Vernon.
^people running the Qualifiers would disagree with both of you.

I haven't run Qualifiers so I can't comment on their greatness. :)
But my experience with Dunlops street tires on the street is that they take forever to warm up and still are skaty in the wet. This was only 220, 205 and another one (oem tires for a fz6).

My opinion??? get some pilot powers... for the street, you can't beat-em! give Rick a ring (SB Motorsports)... He will get you a better price than anyone on these tires.

+1 on the Pilot Powers. Also, Motorcycle Superstore (http://motorcycle-superstore.com) out of Oregon always has super sweet prices on tires. Only one I've ever seen beat them is Rick with SB at the track.

Nice. I usually use SW Mototires...but this place is a few dollars cheaper.

I had no problems with heating up Qualifiers. They provide good traction early in a ride. Grip level is fantastic. The only downside is that they show wear a little faster than the powers.
I was running them on my modded Z-1000.

Slight thread hijack.... :)
So I was over at a fellow racers house and I picked up a set of Dunlop Qualifier Race tires. I was surprised on heavy they feel compared to what I remember the Michelin Power Race tires are of the same size.
Am I imagining things (these were un mounted)?

The Qualifier isn't a race tire. it's Dunlops version of the PP.

I could have sworn these tires said Qualifier on the side along with Race.
So Dunlop's DOT Race is still the D208 GP-A?
Edit: Nevermind I see that this years model is the D209/Sportmax GP
