Can anyone give me some ideas on what this might be worth - or what any of you would actually pay for it? I know you would have to look at it etc. but ball park would be cool.

decription:
"I lowsided going around a freeway interchange and ended up in a ditch. The cage I had on the bike scraped and lifted the rear tire off the ground. I had a crash estimate done and the insurance company totalled out the bike, but I bought it back with the intention of turning it into a WMRRA bike. The bike rolls and starts up and runs fine, there's actually not that much damage. The crash damaged the front and rear plastics, dented the tank a little on the top/right, sheared the subframe bolts (I'm pretty sure the subframe is straight, just needs new bolts), and took off the left clip on. This is all I know right now because I went down only days before I went overseas (I'm in the military) and didn't have much time to inspect the bike. It has a -1/+2 525 AFAM sprocket setup (15/47), clear alternatives integrated tail, but is otherwise stock."

nice little dent in the frame, right side andrew. Have to see it in person. On a crash little that i would thing the subframe would be jacked too. But I dont know bike might be junk to a street person but gold to us racers.

you're damn right - with one more pint of bondo i'll fill that whole on my tank and it'll be like new.... just a little off keel and might hold a little less gas :-)

Well, if you take the cage off of it , you'll double the value ! Motor is worth about $2500 - $3000 on ebay. Wheels and suspension might be worth something, Whole bike, I'd guess around 4-4500 depending on how good the the core of the bike is.

You won't make any money doing that as it'll cost a bunch to make it a race bike.

well... you have to know how much "a bunch" is.. and you have to know how much i would get it for. I'll I see so far is a tank, fairings, windscreen, some clip ons and maybe some subframe bolts, and saftey wire. I figure about $1,500 to 2K to get it on the track.

..and maybe i wont make too much, but I could get a new '06 R6 upgrade from my 99-01 R6 and break just about even. Thats sounds pretty good to me.

Then why not sell your 99-01 R6 and make this 06 a race bike?

That's exactly what i might do.... just figuring out costs and expenses etc. I'll be way to tempted to start throwing a bunch of money i don't have at the new R6 - you know.. all the usuall race goodies.. but i figure the stock '06 R6 is already smokin my EDR '01 R6 bike in all areas....
