Hey everyone,
Well I've never done any track days or racing and I was looking at doing a racing school and some track days this summer but instead I'm in Iraq! I'm in the AF and going to be over here until Sept. Since I live in Mtn. Home, ID the closest tracks are going to be Spokane or Portland. Any of you guys recommend a good track school to attend at either venue? I probably won't be able to attend until next year. but I figured I'd drop a line and say hi. Oh by the way, when I get home I'm going to be looking for a 99-02 R6 race ready. I already have a street 01 R6 and figured I'd try to get another bike I'm already familiar with. I'll be watching this site daily so feel free to drop me a line.

Shane431, I'm from Boise. When your ready for a bike let me know. I rent spokane a few times a year. That might be the best way for you to get an idea. I only take the local people so you might know a few of them. And Then if you fall in love with it. Like we know you will then check out http://www.sullivanraceschool.com/
Stay safe and thank you.

fantomr6, Hey I will definitely look you up when I get back. Like I said before I already have an 01 R6 that I ride right now, but I want to keep it for the street. So, if I understand you right, you have or are going to have an R6 for sale? And I will definitely look you up for hitting the track. When are you guys going up this year?

Hey I was just like you ;however I was in afghanistan.I had never riden a track before,so I did the new racers clinic which was informative ,but the other riders were much more track savy.
I would recommend sullivans school,I just took it and learned in a day what it would have taken many scary races to achieve.
Good luck keep yer head down and get home safe !

NOt to worry, I'm making myself as small as target as possible! And I appreciate the response. I'm going to look into Sullivan's school. I'm probably going to have to take a class next summer cause I'm betting they'll all be done by the time I get home.
