Hey,
My husband and I and possibly a few others are planning to come out to Pacific Raceways to watch some racing Aug 12 or 13, but have some ques.
Which day would be best to attend, from a spectator standpoint - Aug 12 or 13?
Do you guys do a parade lap for street riders? If so, when, how much and are there any requirements for rider or bike?
Best places to watch the races from?
Any other related info, would be great!
Looking forward to seeing a few WMRRA racers I met this summer. Hoping to race a round of WMRRA sometime soon too.

I would day Sunday is the day to come down and watch. Saturday is when we practice and there is a couple races but nothing compared to Sunday.
I'm not sure if they do taste of racing anymore, but they used to let people on the track at lunch for $20 with a valid drivers license. Someone here can tell you of were still doing that.
Best place to watch racing in my opinion is right by the coner workers station in Turn 8 and the end of the strait where you can see T3, and T4 if you don't mind walking a little every lap.

The corners!
Up close, action packed, and the racers & staff love to have volunteers. Really, it's a blast, and we can always use the help.

Tough break @ Laguna Jessica.
Like Rich said, corner working is a great way to get up close and personal action of the track. I suggest 5/7 for viewing the races. :)
Hope to see you out @ WMRRA soon.

I'll second that...but specifically turn 5 as you get to see them come up the hill into 5 and then disappear around 7....plus you don't have to pick up as many bikes who love to crash on 7. :)

That's what happens when you get greedy on the throttle in the wet. :P

Good point, but at least my brakes work while going into T1 while in Portland :p. Of course you ended up better off than I did after it was all said and done. That endurance race was good times!
However if anyone plans on doing an endurance race I wouldn't do it again with only 2 riders. Lets just say it's hell....

Yeah, endurace race was fun. I guess we'll take it semi-seriously and actually run with a 1k next time since we are in the heavyweight class. :)

Yeah a liter bike would be nice for that track,Portland is a pure horsepower track. I would bet that if you ran the exact same lap and just switched bikes you could take a second off from a 600 to a 750 and probalby like 2 seconds on a liter!
