Yeah, I thought it was awesome when I saw a Studio819-sponsored bike in front of one of the vendor tents. I pointed it out to my friends: "Hey, that's a local guy!"

I also saw someone with long hair wearing a Studio819 shirt and carrying a massive Canon camera, but the crowd was too thick for me to catch up and introduce myself (and try scoring a press pass... :D )

Oh, and Bones, I ended up getting rid of that extra admission pass I had anyway. Some random guy walked up to our campsite the first night and asked if I had a spare. Random, but cool!

Unfortunately I missed most of the AMA stuff due to transportation issues and my friends whining about how hot it was. But I did catch the Superbike race. I wish I'd have known that Sully was running in that! I take it he was one of the six that went down on the first lap? Looks like his leathers are a little ragged...

I don't know how many years Mike has been wearing those leathers but the reason that they look the way they do was not from that perticular race. Mike finished the race unscathed :) +1 for the home team :).

You know, now that you mention it, those were the leathers he was wearing at his school last month. My bad. Glad he came out alright.

I've heard Mike puts on his old leathers (those ones) when he plans to go out and really bust out a lap as he might crash and toast them. Just something I've heard.
