Hi my name is zack im 18 and im lookin to get a cbr 600 or r6 and i want to know is insurance as bad as i heard it was :confused:? I asked around and alot of people said that its brutal....sometimes more than their car insurance?I plan to ride at least 6 months out of the year and only want it insured for the time i ride it.

I go through state farm for my street bike and only pay 30 a month all year, they don't consider the seasons with me and the rates all depend on what you ride, what year your ride is and how bad your record is. If you insure your car and your bike with a company as I do I get a multi line discount and that drops both rates as well. Also, being 18 yrs old, expect them to demand a high primium, it sucks but that's just the seriotyping :eek: coming into play.
