2002 Ninja 250 with 2007 engine. Completely ready to race and probably enough spares to make it street legal. It's not in my name, but I have a signed and released title for the frame.

Bike:

Old gen chassis
17" EX500 wheels with BT003RS tires
Stock pipes
Moto Bits rear sets
Woodcraft clipons
Stock jets
Fox shock (recently rebuilt with two race weekends on it)
Racetech .85 front springs and 20w fork oil (25mm of sag with 190 lb rider, extra shims included

Spares:

17" wheels with rains in great shape- Both wheels have rotors!
Some Motobits pieces, I think one peg and a lever. I'll have to dig around
OEM handle bars
Front fairing stay
OEM rear sets
16" wheels with street tires
All of the parts necessary to convert back to 16" wheels
Enough crap to sort out almost any issue (wiring harness, calipers, etc)
More stuff that I need to inventory later
Possibly a set of Tyr Sox tire warmers (if Jon Wood is done with them by now)

I'll provide pictures after the bike is accessible and I have some time, probably later today or early tomorrow.

$1800 for everything, and the bike will be available after the next race weekend. It is scheduled to be ridden by Aaron Frank of Motorcyclist Magazine, so if you act now you can split track time with him over the race weekend and quite possibly be featured in the magazine.

PM or email. Own a piece of Sippy Cup history!

Not yet, I am looking to keep it as a package. FWIW I found a rear wheel on eBay for ~$50 shipped, so you can still get a good deal.

Bumpity! Bike will be at the track all weekend and I'll be pitted near the fuel pumps.

Pictures! Sorry for the crappy quality, but of all of the things I suck at, apparently, photography is one of them.

SOMEONE NEEDS TO BUY THIS BIKE ... it is not only and excellent cheap little turn key race bike...

but - It also is now officially the fastest old generation ninja on the race grid !

Chris Sarbora turned a 1:52.476 laptime on it in the round 8 NInja Cup race.

No cash/storage/race transport available, or I'd be all over that little wench!

Still available. It is currently in my van, as I don't have enough room to store this and work on my other projects. I know that in a week or two it has to come out of the van and I would rather it was unloaded at your place. I will entertain reasonable offers, no trades please, delivery will be negotiated.

A few notes on the bike- With Chris Sarbora's help during the race weekend we were able to get the suspension dialed in and Chris came in after the race and said it was spot-on. Turned easily and went exactly where he wanted it to go. Chris did go one second faster than Aaron Frank from Motorcyclist magazine (and two seconds faster than me) with just a turn of preload difference in the shock, same tires and tire pressures. The bike is well-sorted and fun to ride, plus it's easy on gas! If you buy it soon, I'll include the last gallon of gas (premium, no less) at no extra charge.

I'm not in your area, so I'm not actually looking to buy, but I am looking to get the 250 class rolling here in the Midwest! I have a 2010, all set up, raced it at blackhawk farms on 9/24-25 and had a BLAST! It generated a ton of interest, and people are interested. I was the first one to race a ninja 250 in Midwest CCS in years! Anyways, in an effort to "unify" the class rules, if you will..... Are the ex500 wheels allowable in the 250 cup stuff? I believe their the same width, but I've read some pretty nit-picky stuff about tech, rules, and protests.... So I'm just wondering, with people looking at picking up earlier gen bikes with an interest in getting the 17" wheels on them.

Thanks in advance! Great looking bike there!

We have two classes in WMRRA, 250 Ninja Cup and Ultra Lightweight Sportsman (ULWS). No wheel swaps are allowed on new gen bikes in 250 Cup (Supersport rules), but you can swap in ULWS. The EX wheels are heavier, but as per SS rules you can't use wheels that are different than stock.

Go to www.wmrra.com, click on the rulebook link, and check out the rules for 250 Ninjas. PM me or Bateman147 (incoming ref and major 250 instigator) for any clarifications.
