Is anyone planning on going down to Miller on the 3rd and 4th for Cascade Track time? It's the AMA full corse both days. I want to see if anyone is going down with a big trailor or anything. I will be in Vegas the weekend before and would either like to fly in, or get a ride with my 2 co-horts, who would have a full trailer. Or if anyone can fit 3-4 bikes, all the better. I'm sure we can come up with some $$ to anyone wanting to go that has a huge trailer with some empty spots. I know it's a ways away, but the sooner the better to get a spot for the track day and make travel arangements...vacation..etc. post up here for plans and ideas if anyone is planning on going.

780 miles. About 1 tank on my RV. That is 90 gallons at 8mpg.

My brother and I have talked about heading down sometime. I'll have to talk to him and see if it's something we can do. But man I would love to run that track! :D
If we do end up heading down we might have a couple spots in our trailer besides our bikes. Kinda depends on how much gear ect we would bring. But pretty sure we could bring 2 with us. It's only a 13 hour drive which isn't all that bad if you think about it!

Huh... Must be nice to be able to get so much time off of work. It's a nice balance of taking time off of work, yet still having enough money to race and live. Just make sure your brakes work this time around alright... :)

I'm supposed to get 4 weeks of paid vacation a year but I rarely note the vacation I use....so sometimes I go over. :)
Cool about August...if I wasn't in the middle of remodeling the entire house I'd have more money available for things like the Oct date.

Just a hint... might want to save some of that vaca for when you go down and get an bruise. When you saw me go down in 7 I was hurting for a week. I could work, but it felt like crap!

They are doing the AMA config which is the outer course.

ah but we also have 2 weeks of sick time and well hurting yourself out of work so you can't work counts as sick time.

Man, I thought REALLY hard about the NESBA days in August (have to have some reason to have that membership...), but found that I'm, oh, 80% of what it would cost short in cash thanks to an unexpected tire purchase.
This October one, though... What's the weather like in Utah in October?

It really is a toss up. Temps rans from 48 to 60 as the mean. But it has done everything that day with rain, snow, hail, fog, etc.
What I do know is that the track will be cold in the morning.

Oh man...its 860 miles to Miller from Redmond. You take I-90 to I-82 down to I-84 over to something south of Twin Falls.
1200 miles? Maybe if you go through California.

Anyone else needing to carpool for Miller. The people that were suppose to be going with me backed out so Im looking to carpool. I have a truck/trailer or willing to join up with another group. Just trying to avoid the trip by myself. :)

Um....how heavy is your trailer? I can't fit 3 bikes in mine and Ariana is riding so we are bringing her bike. We do have a 3rd seat in the RV.

Trailer is about 1200lbs empty I think. Fully loaded with 3 bikes, would put it at roughly 2600ish lbs.
When you guys plan on leaving/coming back?

I'm pretty sure the RV can tow that. Believe it or not it has a pretty low tow rating.
Anyhow we are leaving Friday night after work (6-7pm), driving until I can't drive any more and arriving on Saturday. Then we are leaving Monday night, driving as far as possible and arriving back Tuesday.
If you wanted to come with us and we take your trailer I would want to pick it up on Thursday evening next week so Ariana and I can load our bikes and have it all ready for leaving on Friday.
Are you going to the Nesba day on Tuesday next week? I'm heading down to Portland on Monday night (RV again) if you want to carpool for that too.
Anyhow hit me up offlist if you are interested....cburg is the alias (there is 3 of us at MS. :) )

Are you guys talking about the August one or the October one? I'm still trying to figure out how to get me or my bike down there for the October one. If anyone has a spot on their trailer for October, that would be cool. so far if I have to go it alone, then i have to fly down. I need to be in Vegas the weekend before, and would rent a car up to Tooele, then either catch a ride back, or drive and fly back. Logistics are a nightmare, but i want to figure out how I can do both, with out driving down by myself. I'm probably leaving wednesday or thursday the week before, and coming back after Miller. anyone planning to do both days?

August one. You know the one a week from Sunday. :)
I do know that Nico said he plans to do the October one too....so I would talk to him about hooking up.
